The car sustained some serious damage but the cabin remains intact and from the looks doors are also not jammed. Seems Suzuki didnt cut cost in the cabin integrity after all. Air bags were deployed as well which saved the lives of the passenger. From safety prospective, a pretty decent job by Alto.

Salam all.... after much deliberations and thought processing, i've decided to buy ALTO VXL .... i'll be getting the car (zero meter) in 15-20 days ..... i wanted to ask following things from experts in this thread:

A. Should i change engine oil as soon as i get the car to 0w-20 or wait till 1000km (first inspection) .... moreover which engine oil is better SOGO or Shell Helix Ultra as in this video review pakwheels is recommending Shell Helix Ultra 0w-20 at exact 13:14 mark https://www.pakwheels.com/blog/suzuki-alto-ags-2019-owners-review-specs-features/

B. Does the car comes with 75w gear oil or do i have to change it as well?

As far as I know:

Change oil from Suzuki 3S at the recommended interval as given in the maintenance manual which will come with your car (most probably at 1000km).
Use only company recommended oil and preferably from 3S dealership until warranty period. NaPak Suzuki can deny warranty if anything happens to any part of the car.
If you install any aftermarket electronics, warranty will be void. Car dealerships need just the tiniest excuse to deny warranty.

aoa... they dont change the first oil at 1000km.... i had gone for first tune up... they said no need for oil change at 1000km

@mehran should i use 0w-20 or not? 2ndly i asked if gear oil (as recommended in this thread i.e. 75w) comes pre-poured in this car or do i have to change it? Moreover, regarding the changing of multimedia panel only the electronic items warranty will be void or total car warranty including engine, gear etc??? i'll keep the stock multimedia panel and will install it before claiming any warranty ....

@voodoo so should i change the oil to 0w-20 as soon as i get the car? People in this thread are recommended 0w-20 that is why i am asking this question....

You can search their codes and you will find these iridium plugs very easily ... like gariparts or edenso websites or partscentral facebook/whatsapp for COD... on average their prices are 1500/plug.
iridium plugs sizes for this alto HA36S are :

No need to change gear oil of vxl till 60,000km, (refernce pic attached).
Yes,0w20 is good for alto vxl, as its also recommended by suzuki japan for JDM alto. I have switched to Zic 0w20 and seeing a good change in car mileage, as its now giving me around 24km/litre. My mostly drive is on islamabad expressway and i drive with light foot.
If you want to keep ur car under warranty then go for SGO super efficient 0w20.

When i get the car from dealer, 75w gear oil will come pre poured in it or not???? Also, will it come with 0w-20 oil? if not, should i change the engine oil to 0w-20 as soon as i get the car??? Can anyone answer my query of what to do when i get the car zero meter from dealership??? Thanks

Alto vxl will come with 75w gear oil, no need to change it till 60,000km.
No, alto vxl will come up with 10w40 delux engine oil, its ur choice to keep it runing on it till 5,000km or you decide to go for 0w20 and change before 5,000km. Its totally about your preferences. As I didn’t care about warranty, as they will always come up with some excuse to deny your warranty claim, so why go to suzuki till 60,000km, only for the sake of warranty

When i got my alto vxl, i changed first engine oil on 4000km from suzuki and then on 9,000km i switched to ZIC 0w20, as i have ZIC official dealership near my home.

Alto vxl come with 75w transmission oil. No need to change it. Multigrade 10w40 mineral oil is prepoured. You should use it in breakin period of car. For breakin of new engine. Never press acclarator pedal to full. Always drive car at variable speed, like press gas pedal a little and then release it and press again.

Today i have changed alto's engine oil to suzuki's 0-20w first time... Car is way quiter than before... almost near to quite. 3000kms 1year almost. Didnt change the gear oil. Ll change at 10000kms because want to differentiate the change step by step. No issue right now.. seems like major issue was of heavy engine oil. They took labour charges once i told them about 1 year old purchaise of the car by mistake , so they took 1000 instead of 1600. It was our second visit.
Filter almost 950
Engine oil almost i guess 3600.
Spark plug spacing fixed and cleaned.. was abit yellowish at the top like fresh rust... i didnt like the ngk cabon plugs.. ll change it to denso iridium tough VXUH22 (80000 milage)if perfomance starts to degrade lateron... like at 10k+..
It was giving us 12kmpl within bahria rawalpindi movement knly.

Shown then the LCD issue that was clock rest. Their supervisor told us visit 2mrw for softare update if it dont work then they ll send the head unit to lahore...

Beware of zic..... many have fake oils....try total... i have read from their website that that total quartz 9000 have 0-20 and 5-30 imported ones.

Just drive with whatever is inside. At 5000kms or 6 months. Change engine oil to 0-20w. Currenlty its 75W transmission oil in new lineup. Dont change it. you ll feel major comfort at 0-20w engine oil

at dealership, first ask about 0-20w and filter availability of car before starting the job... 2.6 lit oil, 16510-84MA0 filter.

It varies in different car... not mention in suzuki manual... but i think... 1000 km is breakin period... never go for 5th gear... as it is over drive gear..
