Yes I didnt pay a single penny. Had to argue shout at alot of people but it worked out decently.

The only thing is I wouldn't even bother replacing the oil. My mind got shook when they changed the oil when it wasn't needed to be replaced and replaced it with wrong specification oil.

PakSuzuki is not on Adam Jee Panel. They are asking me to pay cash to PakSuzuki and then Adam Jee will send me the payment in some time. The other three workshop are doing repair on credit because they are on Adam Jee panel so I went to one of them. But, now I am confused that maybe I took the wrong decision. There is not much repair actually. Mostly parts replacement and I am concerned whether they have reputable workshops on their panel?

Try another dealership. Your particular dealer would have issues with adamjee.

Adam jee and efu are atleast 2 companies which no ones has issues working with.

It definitely not about costs. WagonRs owners manual stated 0W20 oil even before suzuki was offering this oil in pakistan.

I often argued with @hash737 aswell that the engine is tuned differently for pakistan that is why they are suggesting a different oil grade since suzuki has 0w20 in stock why wouldn't they want to offer it for suzuki alto.

But about the gear oil it is specified In the owners manual.

Suzuki is simply not importing or supplying this oil to their dealerships. They don't even have 75w90 for manual alto or 75w85 for WagonRs

Got it. Thank you everyone who answered. Since, I have given them the vehicle now. I will see what they do. If they put genuine parts, perfect, Otherwise I will break those parts intentionally and get repaired from an authorized dealer. lol

My friend bought Alto VXR yesterday and I am glad to see that 0W20 mentioned on its warranty card. So now 0W20 is officially recommended oil for Alto.

Where as the warranty book doesn't mentions Alto and is printed in 2017. While new Alto pakistan was launched in 2019

alto cultus and wagonR all three have same warranty manual
0w20 mentioned there is for cultus, wagonR and swift, not alto

for proper confirmation, you should check the paksuzuki circulars in which engine and gear ol grades are mentioned
and still 10w40 is recommended for alto, no 0w20 or 5w30
nothing is updated by paksuzuki
I confirmed this today again from someone working in suzuki
here is his reply

Yes, This is one reason i have been arguing everywhere that 0W20 could be problematic for this engine. this is differently tuned for use in Pakistan. Since gear oil change the car is very much responsive. Either me and the car we both have agreed on some terms but definitely it is performing better now.

About gear oil yes 75W was the correct oil Suzuki entertained my query what ever BS happened but they corrected the mistake.

However i found a paper on pakwheels of the japanese model which said AGS gear Oil quantity was 2.4L where as when replacing the dealership had a 5 inch wide book which said AGS quantity is 2.2L.

I told them do what ever you want to. if i have any issue il keep coming back.

yes, here is pic of jdm manual. 2.4 is recommended for jdm by suzuki japan, byt 2.2 is recommended for pkdm by paksuzuki, and 2.2L also fills till top filler plug so no problems there

Yes you have shared these circulars previously aswell. Since suzuki has already updated dealerships about gear oils and not about engine oils so definetly they dont want 0W20 to go in 660cc Suzuki Alto.

Something is definetly different which atleast i am not able to understand. If they had to mint money they would simply be selling 0W20 to Alto owners aswell. Their is no point in not selling something that they are already selling.

Specially when now they have strictly told dealerships not to change AGS Oils. and replace with 75W only even when their is shortage.

I have personally asked numerous engineers working in pak suzuki karachi (the assembling plant) and they dont have any knowledge of detune or anything that was done to the engine for our market. Anyway, lets assume that ECU map is different for our local alto, still the engine oil recommendation should stay the same (as the jdm engine) since it depends on the engine design itself i.e. tolerances.

What might have happened at pak suzuki, when it came to the engine oil recommendation for new alto , is that they may have got it mixed with the Alto RA410 which had f10a engine (very old design) and hence ended up recommending 10w40 for it

Man same people asked me to pour in 10w40 in new cultus when i got it in 2018 in K10B engine.
