AGS is definitely more comfortable then the manual car.
AGS is a blessing in absence of automatic.
AGS is supposed to be cheap. But Paksuzuki is pricing AGS at par with automatic transmission cars. Which in my opinion is not justified. Nor all other goodies which are offered in VXL are important. A VXR AGS would be a much more hit.
I have a Suzuki Alto AGS 2019 since October 2019 have driven it almost 19,000 kms.
We replaced it with 2002/2006 Toyota Vitz. Being new everything feels good.
But the jerky transmission is definitely not very durable or reliable. If someone has never driven a automatic car this is wonderful. If u have driven an automatic this car can be frustrating at times.
Specially in low gears when the car down shifts and ur not expecting it to. Often at intersections where you know you can make it the car changes a gear which is very very dangerous. (It does because shifting the gear kills the momentum/RPMs). At times misses gears ( its not very intelligent)
If you have money go for a AT Swift or AT Picanto.
SUZUKI alto AGS is luxury for people learning to drive maybe. This is not a proper car. You can definitely not take it on the motorway.
The car is very underpowered. The car is very fragile.
I agree its a wonderful deal (brandnew) but for 17 lacks a Used 2012 Corolla might be a more reliable option.
WAGONR does look like shit, it gives around 11kmpl compared to 17/18kmpl of alto but wagonr is a proper powerful car being 1000cc
Alto might a good second or third car at home, but not suggesting it to be the prime car at home. Infact avoid any 660 as much as possible these are fragile disposable cars.
The alto in pakistan is tuned differently then the imported one hence the sound is there. I have shifted to 0W20 after 15,000 kms the engine still sounds the same.
So anyone who claims that 0W20 reduces sounds levels needs to do a sound level check and post figures here. Else it's only in the mind.
Pakistani alto being manual is a plus because it gives a good punch of acceleration which no CVT 660cc gives.
@hariskhan1989 your older 660cc Japanese alto is a bigger heavier car, it can't be as power ful as this one is because this car is much more smaller and probably the highest HP of all 660cc engines.
About back lights. Who ever says they couldn't see the back lights of alto need an eye check. And I wonder how do they manage to see unmarked speed breakers in Pakistan.
The lights are perfectly visible in tightest possible traffic jams.
