Brother, the booking of Alto AGS has been suspended by the company. Likewise, company isn't booking Cultus VXR & Cultus AGS at the moment.

That is why I have suggested the fellow member to go for Cultus VXL.

Moreover, only corporate clients or banks are allowed to book Alto AGS with up to 90 days delivery time.

I booked Alto vxl last week and they gave me 60 days delivery time and they told me that the car may come earlier than that

Dear brothers again its a request, please stop fighting.

Alto AGS booking is open. Was just asked by the showroom to submit pay order and the delivery time period being given is 2 months with chances of early delivery. I am based in Islamabad.

P.S it maybe correct that booking is closed for normal customers. As my booking would come under corporate clients.

That is only because all other 660cc cars in the market are CVT and this is a manual. And this is the smallest of the 660cc cars available probably its smaller then a honda 600 or a Daihatsu Cope aswell.

Being manual only gives you a slight more push on the first gear.

Even a 1000cc Toyota Vitz with CVT lags behind a Suzuki Alto in quarter mile. That doesn't makes Alto a better car then a Vitz.

If brand new and budget constraints atleast a WagonR.

Don't like its shape go for cultus VXR.

If you want a automatic car only. Look for Picanto or Swift.

The point that I am trying to raise is that Suzuki Cultus has 11:1 fuel compression ration, JDM Alto has 11.5:1 ratio

Barei bhai this is a relative term. This not estate cultus gives a better fuel average then that of a Alto.

Cultus manages 17-19 kmpl on motorway hiway drive. In city on long drives cultus might do 15 to 17 at best. And a home driven car first / second gear drive won't return a fuel average better then 12 kmpl in my opinion.

While Alto does 21+ on motorway. 17 to 19 in city drive and 12/13 if driven on home use at 1/2/3 gear.

Corolla probably has a better ratio.

What you were doing was actually misguiding. Here again I am telling you Alto is luxury if you have extra money and you want a extra car for your wife to drive around or a younger sister or a 16/17 year old learner driver.

He would simply love moving around in this tiny dinky. If your budget is limited and want all goodies alto is an ideal package.

We have more or less similar figures. You definitely know how to drive better and have better fuel figures then I do.

I have just had one chance of Cultus while returning from lahore to karachi we had a cultus and a fortuner.

Fortuner would do 6.5 and Cultus was doing 17 as a net average.

When you are buying a 660cc you know all of what you are mentioning.

The higher engine sound in the local alto is for a higher torque at lower rpms to give it a better push. The car is tuned for Pakistani environment. The engine is not similar to the ones Japanese Suzukis have. Everything might be same it might be made in Japan, but is made for Pakistan.

The AC of any 660 is good enough for 2 front passengers. ALTOs AC is good enough for 4 people sitting in car on a normal day.

I agree AGS unit is not a conventional automatic but that is why it is a AGS, suggesting to go for a manual cultus is your personal choice.

If someone is looking for automatic, AGS Is na honei se behtar. My wife doesn't care how it drives as long as it doesn't has a clutch, which she has to worry about.

Other then that delivery, delays you have a different report about it.

Alto is the best /top selling car in pakistan at the moment so dealerships have limited quotas.

Cultus's committed delivery time is 60 working days which are 4 or 5 in a week. It automatically pushes you to 3 months plus.

Cultus probably has the highest premium at the moment. Around 100/150k.

I too have suggested him to move to Cultus VXR if automatic is not an issue. (Vxr or Vxl he can decide as per his budget)

I wa talking about Alto WORKS not pkdm.
And also power to weight ratio and also that alto jdm also comes in ags (Turbo RS and normal as well)
Also alto 2007 shape is also conventional auto.
Vitz is underpowered and coupled with cvt its a terrible drive on the motorway.
This proves that vitz although bieng 1000cc has less motorway driveability than a 660cc alto

The picture you shared was of a Pakistan domestic model AGS alto that too probably with the wrong gear oil.

Anyway about Alto works giving a Civic run for its money haha yes definetly for a 100/200 meter maybe.

Thirdly a Vitz is still a better much much more comfortable and pleasure filled choice over a 660 Alto anyday for a motorway drive.

PS : Yes i know that basic and RS Works Japanese Altos come with AGS instead of CVT, Even Suzuki every has some variants with AGS Transmission..

Im not denying that alto is a slow ass car and vitz is a much heavier and stable car.But when it comes to basic physics Im sorry I cant bring myself to be blind to that.

You can see that upto 100 kmh the works was ahead.And frankly speaking a 0 to 100 time faster than a civic.Hell yeah plz.
On the motorways there is no possibility of works even coming close to a civic but thats not what I was talking about

Being Slow or having a sluggish pickup because of it being CVT does not means it has a bad weigh to power ratio. Even a AT Corolla would have a better pickup to similar CVT Corolla.

Since you are mentioning physics, You should better know how Vitz would be able to maintain 140 better then a Alto.

Hint its a 1000cc car which you are comparing with a 660cc car.

Vitz has 1000cc 1kr fe engine making 64 hp.It has a kerb weight of about 1050 kg.Using basic maths the power to weight ratio turns out to be 0.00615 units.Multiply it by 100 for easier calculation it becomes 6.15.

Alto has jerb weight of 670 kg and the R series engine makes about 54 hp.Doing the mats again we get .00805
x100 becones 8.05
