JDM alto i had earlier a 2015 was soundless both inside cabin and outside, there was no engine noise..

PKDM alto is a generator albeit having same or better and newer engine..

anyone did research wat r we missing in pkdm?

like put in a few insulation pieces to get the same feel and noise level as jdm

Insulation would work for cabin noise... Not if you are standing outside... May be experienced members have a better grasp of "noise issue"?

The engine is tuned differently to take out maximum power on lower gears for better pickup even on load. (If you floor it, it's a treat, comparing 660cc)

That is to my best understanding. Jitny b insulation kerlo the sound is alot different then the Japanese alto even AGS Japanese doesn't has this much sound. Inside or outside.

jdm alto does not have insulation on hood, so its useless to get it on pkdm in terms of noise reduction...

exactly my point. the benefit of this car is of fuel efficiency and if service cost is exorbitant to nearly 5k rupees per 5k kilometers, it kills the benefit as comes out to Re.1 per km oil cost only. a normal oil change on this new generation 'Mehran' should be of same caliber and not of Audi level.

I kinda disagree. Using a proper oil will extract optimum performance from engine without any wear and tear. I have been using 0w20 in my 2019 Alto vxr and now the car has amassed 30k kms on odo. Never ever had any issue Alhamdulillah

i fully support this theory and not going to usr high octane and change tyres with some expensive brand..

but oil is directly proportional with fuel co. sumption, engine noise n protection so no harm spending a few xtra bucks

there are various YouTube videos on this topic with proofs. the thinnest oil available is not able to reduce engine noise and also did not actually help in improvement in fuel efficiency (to a considerable point). since we are all ok to use 10/40 by company also which is 20-25% cheaper then i believe why burn money on oil when we already have tons of other expenses to look after. again this is my thought and my way of thinking. definitely not trying to inflict my opinion on anyone

Lets forget abt youtube videos and focus strictly on manufacturer specs.

I cudnt find 10w 40 application for R06 anywhere, its 0w 20 or 0w 25 everywhere

I think you will get an early delivery of your vehicle since Suzuki has started producing 400 - 600 vehicles per day. The backlog of Alto is being cleared on a priority basis.

The premium on Alto VXR has been dropped to 80,000 – 120,000 PKR (depends upon the city). Suzuki has taken some serious steps to curb the investors. Sooner or later, people will get readily available cars on the authorized dealerships without any premium.

SGO 0w20, drain interval is 8k, cost per oil change is 5k RS almost, and yes it reduced the engine noise

It might tame the engine a little bit, but the annoying sound is still there.

Specially if you drive another car for awhile and move back to Alto you can feel the loud engine.

yes, no one claimed that the noise was completely gone. It was a good enough improvement for me to continue with 0w20

no it does not reduce any noise. It is just a placebo effect.
Do you have any sound decibel reading to support your claim?
