10w40 or 0w20 for Alto AGS?

Went for oil change yesterday....
They insisted to use 10w40 otherwise warranty is out i argued that manual says 5w30/0w20 but to no avail...
As it was second free checkup i went ahead with 10w40.
Next time i will be going for lighter oil.

which oil filter did they use?

i showed interest to supervisor at dealership that i wud get 0w-20 at first oil change, he approved my idea and mentioned that performance will improve.

as i got extended warranty with 3 free oil changes, i plan to offer them price difference and get 0w-20 on first oil change. hope it works

Yes i went for extended warranty... I told them that i can pay the difference or even some premium but use 0w20... They refused it like i was using some kabuli oil....
Oil filter was from shop within... I dont know which one.

If you can't find 75W, just go ahead with 75W80 synthetic. That's readily available. Mobil1 and LM have the correct oil but I wasn't able to find them in Pak. Switched to the 75W80 along with 0W20 for the engine and the car feels much lighter, quite and easier on the shifts. Pak suzuki really fu*ked up with both oils to begin with

0w20. It's been discussed time and again here. 10W40 is NOT the correct oil for a tiny engine like this unless you want to strangle it. If someone at the dealership tells you its the correct oil, walk away and go someplace else

Yes, there are rumors of another price hike. But I don’t think that Suzuki will increase the price before Eid.

same here. hence i didn't opt for the extended warranty as the dealer himself told me 10w40 hi dalenge. Cant replace with 0w20.
