id rather have my warranty voided than a idiot at a stealership pouring in the wrong oil and messing up a new car.
But to clarify, I was referring towards a different psa dealership since most of them only use the correct 0w20 oil. Since the post was about that particular dealership insisting that they won't use the correct oil, better to drive up to the next dealership OR better yet, call them before you visit and clarify what you want

Went to 2 dealerships( marginally within range and both said 10w40
1 is suzuki township and second Suzuki raiwind.. alas i needed warranty for some time atleast...

I can only assume they didn't have the correct oil and played their cards with the "warranty void" game to sell you the wrong oil

They had ow20... They just refused like i was talking some nonsense that would take away meal at thier home... Very strange behaviour like they were convinced i am wrong ..
If you guyz recommend 0w20 i would rather forgo warranty... P.s is oil change time limited as in case of kia? 3month/6month bondage?
Car usually runs 5k in 4-5 months

Yes, oil do have both time and mileage limits. Suzuki recommends 6 months interval if your mileage isn't complete

This is an old news. The increased rates mentioned in the article are current rates.

Congratulations, if you want to keep you warranty alive you need to get oil changed from them... Or at least buy from them... If you visit them for oil change ask them to put 0w20 in it...

It was booked in December and had a tdd of 7th April, it is a vxr and booked via hbl car finance, the car was delivered before 7th April but due to some bank formalities and my own personal busy schedule received on 25th April already registered

They are putting 80W140 i think, but recommended oil for this transmission is 75W80.

Yes AGS if gets faulty has to be replaced completely which is very costly.
