To be clear I have not checked this way. I have just checked the accuracy of the meter with one test by refilling the tank after a certain mileage to know that the meter is pretty accurate (at least for that test). There might be some margin of error. I have felt this difference of mileage in the amount of time b/w refills or trips i can take to my work place vs the old mileage. i.e. I made more trips with improved meter mileage till the reserve than i did before. I will do a meter to meter test as well and find out how much kms it does in a tank.
P.s. It's a job of patience to get this much mileage out of this car. I have felt that if i get on the car 2-3 times the mileage starts to drop. Being patient for a full tank is teaching me to control emotions lol and not to race or accelerate quickly. I stay in 2nd or 3rd lane and avoid braking. I have noticed, one only needs to brake often if they are in the fast lane and moving above the lane speed. Also in fast lane you get bothered a lot so 2nd or 3rd lane is the way to go. try and stay in 5th as much as possible. hope this helps.

I did a manual calculation of fuel economy. Here's what I got

The mileage on the meter was 28.4 kpl and with manual calculation it's 25.81 kpl

sir is your car running on OEM wheels / tire size?? or upgraded to wider tires and after market wheels. ??

I am using japanese bridgestone tires with OEM size. I like to keep my vehicles stock

are you using same fuel station same dispenser when topping up ?
2.6 km / ltr diff in electronic & manual calculation seems to be quiet a difference

people claim it 23 or 24 but in karachi on shahrae faisal ..

Karachi and Lahore traffic is much more congested than Islamabad. I am based in Islamabad.
I drive in manual mode all the time. The vehicle is 90% used for pick and drop of kids from school. Rest it's used as a grocery getter.

as long as you are in the first three gears, forget about economy.

in 4th gear constant speed it goes up to 20 km/l

the sweet spot is 5th gear, 50km/hr - 60km/hr, CONSTANT Speed.

in my recent daily travel route, i took lyari expressway twice. from sohrab goth to garden. the range jumped 80 kms. normally the reserve light blinked on around 410 kms.

i did 430 kms still with 2 dots available this time.

and one more thing which is irritating for me and i m kinda frustrated ..bcz after having long meetings with clients ( I work in Software house )

i m ok with all alto build quality issues. But

that engine noise is cabin is so frustrating for me when i m mentally tired tht sound hurts ..
my one side trave is around 21 km imagine.. often i use my second car picanto ..(fuel guzzler) for peace of mind.

since last month i m trying to figure it out how to reduce ..is there anyway to reduce it. ? my car driven 9000 km total in a year.

please kindly help i am not able to reduce i will sell this car ..because that cabin noise is so much.. every bike passing you..
you can hear all the voices .. any rickshaw by pass you u can hear all of their sounds.. plus engine sound "bha bha" in cabin.

anyone please help me.. if this is not possible for me..then i will selll this car .. my family mostly driven in picanto .. they are not use to of it specially when i push the car some time 90 km/h speed then it feels that engine is gonna fall down.

if not possible i will change the car probably thinking about Yaris

I get 525 to 535 kms easily in a tank full in Karachi,

The refill takes 24 to 25.5 liters till brim. Usually use Shell and some times from Total.

The daily run is around 80 kms half way is without AC, but all is in off peak traffic. Like 6:45 to 7:10, 10:30 till 11:30, 2:30 till 5 pm. Route includes, University Road, PECHS. Avg occupancy is 3 persons including driver.

If road is clear, After 3rd gear I shift to 5th and drive with light foot. I Avoid agressiveness on road. During Eid days the tank fill of 26 liters returned 568 kms and that was highest. The OBC Avg variates from 20.5 to 22. I usually refill after the refuel light pops as that chime along the light is felt pleasent to my ears.

Tyre pressure is maintained at 35 psi.
The odo is at 92xx kms and have Suzuki 5W 30 from first oil change at 5500 kms. I am looking for oil change interval of 7 to 8k kms. The car is all stock, except for 5D floor mats, its gets a wash love
Once or twice a week.

Why is it that we are hearing about AGS issues from Cultus owners only and not Alto AGS owners.... Its more heard from Cultus owners than Alto.

Do they have different AGS setup? Or AGS is more compatible with 660cc than the 1000cc engines 🤷🏻‍♂️

Curious and want to know what others think about this.

I forgot to mention few things
I use 0W-20 grade and 36 psi tire pressure. The Bridgestone tires I am using are soft so if you don't fill with recommended pressure, the tire will look and feel underinflated while driving.
Other than that I used Liqui Moly Ceratec when the engine was new. Usually the effect of Ceratec lasts 50,000 km or 5 years.
Iridium spark plugs are being used.
