We are probably going to keep the car for long time replacing mehran that was bought new in 2005. So resale is not an issue. I like blue on cultus but not sure how it will look on alto. Black looks good in alto but it's pain to maintain.

The dealerships connive in this corrupt practice and the company does not act against it. Its Pakistan, sub chalta hai and this is a very wrong behavior on our part too.

The premium the oun whatever is charged over & above the factory price by any dealership is

corrupt practices of dealership. The manufacturer has no control of dealership sale price.,
The booking the amount at time of booking, is choice of Dealerships to charge / transfer to Manufacturer.
Uptill 2017 the investors used to book Corolla 1.8 over phone callz and submit a pay order only after copy of PBO via email. & cross check at Indus website.

the only thing which can settle down OWN money is that when the invoice is issued on name of the person who booked the car can only be registered on the same name as the invoice

Invoice is issued by manufacturer upon request from Dealership, when the units are dispatched to dealerships the DC only contain chassis & engine number with Dealership code.

dealership have total control to manipulate, they punch in name & cnic number only when 100% payment is received. Partial payment PBOs' contain only dealership codes. ( @consigliori ) please verify

but i spoke to couple of people who are selling VXL AGS on own money and also suzuki guy who tried to sell own infected car by saying invoice will be on the name of the person who booked it and then once you go get the car registered theres is 1500 rupee sort of penalty and 1500 transfer charges and you become first owner on the book.

when you submit pay order to book car on partial payment that amount you submit partially is locked on the name who submitted it.

Ok i stand corrected . Till 2017 with Indus Toyota it was bit different as encountered several times.

Registered my Corolla Xli in Aug 2017, complete printed document was from indus, as PBO Number is printed on the invoice so it will have to be same as the one you have booked.

Also bought one Revo in Oct 17 for company on own, it is called double transfer. The vehicle is invoiced on someones name. His NIC and a sale agreement is attached (600 Rs for all that), also additional transfer charges was some 1500, WHT 1500 for revo. the book was on company name. This was in Karachi, so yes anyone paying 50k to 125k own money can well atleast spend another 3 to 5k.
