So I took the little dolly for a little spin.
Didnt feel the need to use the manual part.
The car felt decent. I am considering upgrading my fathers old vitz. 2002, it has started giving alot of trouble now. I know anyone would laugh at a alto over a vitz. But my dad needs a brand new trouble free car which he can juice out. Because their is no concept of maintenance unless the car stops to run. Else chalti ka naam gari.
So the car is nice, the shift is smooth, I tired revving it hard. If you keep your foot on the paddle it feels as the RPM locked and then gear shifted, so it's a down but if you dont expect much keep ur eyes and ears shut. Drive around 40-60 it's perfect.
Specially if you dont want to keep walking around Khalid bin waleed and keep checking auction sheets and keep paying denters to check each and every car you like.
It just doesnt changes while fiddling with the accelerator. It changes when it wants to. Either you need to tune your self when to fiddle with your foot this would take a little learning.
I would still say a AGS WagonR would be a killer for both Alto and Cultus.
But I'm still not sure about AGS durability.
The door locks etc (parts similar to WagonR seemed of mediocre quality).
Seats were alot better then the WagonR, the car took bumps alot better then the WagonR, WagonR is very bouncy.
The space is okay. The boot is okay. Retractable side mirrors or 4 power windows are useless.
They should have brought in a vxr AGS rather then the VXL AGS. That would bring price benefits. I mean after driving WagonR for a year. The 2 power windows are okay for me if the cars price can be kept minimal hardly anyone sits in the back of my car. I drive it a 100kms to work and back. At night I might go for a paan with my wife. We still dont need back power windows.
