Well, the Baleno decided to give up the same day when APV gave up. So I got her fixed first(Fuel pump died). For now APV is standing idle. Will get her fixed this Friday In Sha Allah. Thanks for asking.
Engine oil and gear oil was changed last week. Used total Quartz 5W-30 fully synthetic engine oil this time.
Got the fuel pump checked today. It's not working.
this time get fuel tank removed & cleaned. Take pictures of sediment coming out of tank. electronic fuel pumps failure is due to conatminated fuel and or sediment in fuel tank
Roger that. The fuel tank has been removed and I did check it for dirt. It's dirty but nothing that would seem too alarming. Will clean it before I put the new fuel pump in. In Sha Allah.
Salam users, Please suggest a good engine oil for my APV. Also i feel some screeching noise while applying light brakes what would be the main cause of this problem? Thanks
I'm using Total Quartz 5W-30 fully synthetic. What is the total mileage of your APV? Also, get your front brake pads checked.
Total mileage is about 65000 km. Got front brake pads checked but it seems alright any other reason for this irritating sound?
Hi,Can someone please help me find tyres for the APV? The standard size is 185/80r14. Can you please let me know where to find this size in Karachi or recommend another size?

Not sure about Karachi about I'm using Dunlops on mine which are not good at all. Last year Malik Enterprises in Rawalpindi were selling Continental 185/80/R14 tyres. You can ask and enquire if they're still available and if they can be shipped
So the fuel average has decreased significantly since the last 1.5 years. Now I'm getting a steady 9-10km/l which is a lot lower than what I used to get. Need to replace spark plugs and clean the catalytic converter. Will see if it makes a difference.

Check your evaporator. My AC wasn't cooling properly and it was because the evaporator was chocked
Changed spark plugs, fuel pump, clutch and pressure plate. Average is around 13km/l now
Okay so I know this is an older thread. But I wanted to know if anyone overhauled the APV engine recently? And how much does it cost?
Around 70-80k depending on quality of parts used.
