Suzuki Baleno Car Key Snatched

Hi,

I have a Suzuki Baleno JXL 2005 model. Few days back during a snatching attempt my car keys got snatched along with central locking control.

I have talked to Suzuki workshop for replacement and they have told me that in oder to change the code of immobilizer or get a replacement key, i will have to porvide them the copy of FIR and it will cost around 20,000 Rs to get the locking system replaced.

Can someone guide me what is the best course of action in this scenario. Should i get the door locks replaced with central new central locking and keep using the duplicate ignition key?

some key vendors can program new keys for your car - but its not applicable to all models I think.

Thanks, what about the central locking? as i have lost the remote control as well.

Visit an expert electrician and tell him to set a chor lock in your car......... I think it is the best possible option for you in current situation.

You can ge the remote easily - if you kept a note of the FCC ID of it. most are similar and just need calibration with your cars receptor. You will find other brands of cars having similar IDs, they will work too.

Well 1 option on the car theft system is to ask electrician setting the security device , ask the person to installed a fuse cost only 70-10 RS so if the cell or battery becomes dead u will pull the fuse and the alarm will be disable and u will manaually opne the car and start with key ,Its very simple and cheap.just cost 100Rs simple fuse near fuse box .I have this problem when the remote cell become weak and dead.In emergency use this.

Its a very old thread - and no you cannot do this silly stuff in a Baleno. The immobiliser is wired into the ECU.
