Asslamualikum Pak wheelers,
Mere pas cultus 2005 hai total milage 81k, gari k RPM jb 2.5-3k se oper jaty hain to engine se tik tik ka sound ata hai jb wesy khri gari ko zra zeyada accelerator dain to b tik tik ki awaz ati hai mechanic kehta tappet lose hain,
Experts please btaiy ga yeh tappet ka sound ho skta kisi or chez ka?

Bhai your Cultus has hydraulic type tappets. May just may be they are worn out.

get it checked from a proper mechanic. we cant tell you anything cause we cant here the sound,

Same issue with my cultus 2007 carby..1 month ago I went to kharadia and explain about this issue that when i accelerate the car the tik tik sound increases and when car is on idle it vibrates too much and have also tik tik sound..He opens the head and said that u have tappet issues.He adjust the tappets and also replaces some parts and this all cost me around Rs.7000..After that when I start the car but the same tik tik sound is here..I asked him for that sound and he asked me that drive the car for a week and two and then this sound will be gone..I drive the car for two weeks and in these two weeks take the two tours to village(about 1000 km driven) but after that two weeks no reduction in noise of tik tik from the engine head..Using 20w 50 total engine oil..And planing to replace it with 10w 40..Car driven is 59,000 km..
1.Can there an issue with the engine oil,which I am using (thicker) due to which this tik tik sound is coming(Checked the oil pump and it is ok).
2.And which engine oil should I use ,if this is not suitable for car?
3.Or any other suggestion can u give me to overcome this issue.

Bhai first of all it is difficult these days to find a G10 engine... Which your Cultus has!

If you are willing to change and spend some money. It is much better tofind an EFI g10 from a later model along with all the wiring and the sensors... And the instrument cluster..

It will cost you around 100-120k just the engine. And you can find it in shershah. Which is closed due to lock down.
