make your own diagnostic tools, a small led with a resistor to check whether or not the coil is getting a pulse, and also if the ignition module is getting a signal (use a multimeter on any wires that give direct output from ecu, no test lights on that)
most probably it is a loose conection, i still advise you to check the condition of the wire, where it is going into the connector, it corrodes where the crimp is located. or if the insulation is damaged, it can short the whole thing out.
So double check all connectors, you don't need an electrician for this, ECU is last resort
