I am planning to buy either used suzuki cultus 2012 to 014 model or wagon r 2016 to 17 model .i want to know which one is better /comfortable/economical/durable and reliable in terms of daily fuel consumtion and maintinance(spare parts availbility and cost)?kindly guid

I think WagonR is better than old Cultus. In terms of comfort, fuel consumption and also maintenance whereas th reliability of both the cars is good. But spare parts of old cultus is cheaper than WagonR. Spareparts are very very easily available of both the cars

Confirmed from multiple sources, wagonr with ac delivers 12-12.5 in city
It seems low but I'm sharing realistic figures so that you don't regret later after buying

Hae, I'm glad this box doesn't goes beyond 11.75 kmpl I have tried everything. Recently the car went to Lahore, Karachi till sukker it managed 16.5 later even on the new motorway managed 12 only. I drive it Karachi to hub aprox 150 km daily. It manages 11.5-11.7 what ever I do

wagonR17 model gave me 19-20 and on same vehicle my czn getting 17 on highway

Brother your PKDM Wagon R gave you upto 20 kmpl ? I know that the new JDM Hybrid Wagon R gives this kind of figure but in my experience of owning and driving wagon R for 1 year (22,000 kms) never even touched the mark of 15kmpl even with 1 person in car, AC turned off and application of all the hypermiling techniques I know.

While considering the Wagon R as buying option, consider that the car will give 12 kmpl with AC in city.

The older cultus is a bad bad car. This doesn't makes WagonR a better car.

But the old cultus is literally a Margalla which means it's a 90s car. Getting in and out of it is trouble some. Bad seats, old feels everywhere.

On the other hand Wagonr is a modern car, modern engine. But it looks like a box.

Old cultus manages 11-13 kmpl in city driving.

WagonR manages 11-12 (with me being 50k driven).

If you have the budget, Wagon R is the clear winner for me as compared to cultus. Reasons being:

1- Wagon R's cabin is very comfortable as compared to cultus. This includes enhanced space both in terms of head room and leg room, better interior parts quality, modern beige interior and a very quiet cabin.
2- Wagon Rs better fuel average - Cultus 10 kmpl vs 12 kmpl of Wagon R
3- Much better Air Conditioning in Wagon R
4- Factory fitted Power Steering
5- The car is still in production, which means you will be able to get good quality genuine parts easily as compared to a discontinued vehicle.

Are you sure that the old cultus gives 11-13 kmpl with AC in city? As I personally never owned one but based on the feedback of two reliable friends who owned the cultus the figures quoted were 8-10 kmpl with AC and upto 11 12 kmpl without AC.

yes, PKDM and without ac ,calculated in winter, i calculated multiple time it was between 20 and 19

Never owned a cultus, my uncle had one from 2014 to 2017 the Efi one.

He claimed to have a fuel average of 11-13 occasionally. Sold at at 47,000 kms

I had efi Cultus 2010 with average maintained car but on cng, it managed to give me 15 Km/Kg with A/c in Karachi City traffic and 17.5 Km/Kg without A/c

However, my car was not good tuned on Petrol and it usually gave 10 Km/Litre with a/c and 10.5 Km/Litre without A/c

The average of Cultus and Cuore used to be very good and most of the owners used CNG as the main (and sometimes only) fuel.

So conculding form all discussions i saw wangon r can give upto 11 km/liter in city and 13 km/l on long routes.. And cultus 12 in city and 14 on high way.... is that right ??

It all depends upon the driving style and if the air oil filters r changed regularly my swift gives me 12 with ac even though I drive it on a heavy foot . Wagon r is much more comfortable than cultus 2014 . I’ll prefer wagon r. Many ubers and careem wale also consider wagon r as a good daily .
