I own a 2012 Suzuki Cultus Euro 2 and I’m experiencing an issue related to engine response and drivability.
When the car is in 2nd gear at around 2000 RPM, lifting my foot off the accelerator causes a noticeable jerk. If I lightly press the accelerator again, the jerking continues. However, if I press the accelerator firmly, the acceleration becomes smooth and normal, with no issues.
Interestingly, this behavior does not occur in higher gears (such as 4th or 5th) at the same engine RPM — the transition is smooth, and there's no jerking.
I consulted a mechanic about this, but he mentioned that it's a normal characteristic of the car. However, I find this hard to accept, as the ride becomes quite uncomfortable in stop-and-go traffic.
Could anyone please advise on the possible cause of this issue and recommend a solution?
Thank you in advance.
