7) Replenish oil until oil level is brought to FULL level mark on dipstick
(oil pan and oil filter capacity). Filler inlet is at the top of cylinder
head cover.
8) Start engine and run it for three minutes. Stop it and wait another
5 minutes before checking oil level. Add oil, as necessary, to

bring oil level to FULL level mark on dipstick.

hey fellas ,
its a utter confusion that what is the actual capacity of cultus carburator version , some people reckon its 3.0 litres , some people say its 3.25 and some say its 3.50 litres , charade is 1000cc aswell and its oil capacity is 3.0 litres so why not cultus ? as mostly people recommend its 3.50 litres , i dont want to pour un necessary oil if its 3.0 litres please reply thanks in advance !!

it will not problematic for you ........ pour 3.5 ltr oil

what on earth u getting the idea or definition of being smart matey , its a devistating difference btw getting over smart or hearing people assumptions and observations and getting confused so get your facts right thanks for sharing your experience though !!

me too but why , i have checked the manual and theres no specific capacity given there , my friend umair put 3 litres since he owns a car and his car is good as new mashallah and that is with a new engine oil filter !!

With new filter and level up to "MAX" cut on the dipstick its 3.5L

Sorry for jumping in late, safest way to check ANC be sure how much oil the car needs is to fill 3L and then keep filling it at 100ml increments till the dipstic reads full/max.

am using 3L in my carby cultus ... in warm engine dipstick shows 20% less then the above mark .. which i feel ok .. however ppl and suzuki recommend me 3.15 litrs with oil filter change ...
so will consider that for sure ..

I pour 3.30 liter oil with large filter. Its show oil up to the upper mark of dipstick.....

vaqas its doesnt makes a sense to pour 3.5 litres in 1500 cc engine and use the same in 1000 cc engine , its not right , people just follow what engine oil changer or mechanic say , i believe its 3.0 litres with new engine filter , still wait for xulfiqar and storm replies !!

The old 1.6 accords from the 80s have a 3 litre sump - total oil change capacity with filter is 3.5 litres (funny isnt it)

the capacity of your engine is 3.2 litres with filter - when the oil level registers between the two marks then its full, if its touching the higher mark its overfilled but still safe, if above that you risk foaming up the oil.

from reading the dipstick - if overfilled - drain a little out, and always try to aim to keep oil on the centre of the dipstick scale.

i have seen ppl putting 3.5 litrs in cultus (carby) ... by this car shows slighly above max mark on warm engine ... so for me its over ...

as far as i know more oil can damages seals ... and faces the same back 2000 in my ex ride ..

i guess problem states in oil availability in packs , what ever oil u buy they comes in 3 litres or 4 litres pack , so if u are buying a 3 litre pack theres always a chance u will end up having a little bit less and than u are stuck cos theres no 1 litres packaging available , and u are buying 4 litres u have to save it for the next oil change , if u do change it often u are fine if not than u are loosing , but than again if u can afford a car i am sure u can afford that minor loss , but if 3 litres stands in the middle i guess we are fine with 3 litres pack !!

U should be fine with 3 litres, I myself am using 3 litres with filter changes in my khyber, the dipstick shows 20% below the upper mark (similar to your case)

Thanks man, though your reply is quite old but it has solved my tension. I own toyota corolla se saloon limited automatic 1500. It only takes 3 litters engine oil and dipstick shows full mark. My mechanic says it should take 3.5 litters but I do not allow him to put extra 0.5 litters, however I was bit worried that how it was possible that only 3 litters for a 1500 cc engine. Your old reply made me clear.

U should used 3 liters in winter and in summer oil should be in mid of to doted
