Well, you are mistaken. Mirage is in no way an appropriate alternative. Its like paying 13Lac and losing about 40% of it after 2 yrs on resale. So you can well imagine which is the better deal.

Firstly Mirage will not hit every speed breaker, it has decent ground clearance. Secondly i told you for 13lac you get pristine car, accidented ones are around 11.5lac. Rest if you can not fathom what is a difference between a car and tincan then it si up to you. For you few hundred thousand is more valuable than your family safety you are welcome.

Please if it is so much a garbage in Resale and according to you you loose 40%. Please find me one decent (not pristine) Mirage that has been in pk for about two years at 7.2lacs (Assuming 12lacs the value 2 years back and losing 40% so it is available at 60% of the value). I will Buy two units oft you no matter even in any color (pink orange etc)

Put your money where the mouth is. And stop bantering about the SHITZUKI that you so much love. Talk on technical and practical terms dont pull figures out of your _ _ _.

As for IMC surprise, trust me that i have paid them only now since they are offering 2 airbags now. that is good 70k additional investment. New light dont exactly fancy me. Altis was out of my league now this is a better deal.

Funny it is, i was reading wagon R fan club thread. It had the same comments when it was launched, of overly priced , bad shape , etc. But look on road and you see Wagon R everywhere :). So trend says this will sell. I see new cultus everywhere i go.

Yup. Suzuki sells well. Try bringing in more auto manufacturers in Pakistan and I will see how good Suzuki do in competition. They will slash the car prices by 20 - 30% to survive.

Currently I am the user of their old Cultus which is a crap car in my opinion. It's doors design is stupid. If any door seal wear out slightly, water will start pouring in from top. Its seats are so low I feel like I am lying in it.

I travel a lot,and i see wagon R everywhere and careem uber only in 4-5big cities,so how do explains all those Wagon R in other cities. And price of cars has to do with the taxes, if government reduce all those taxes then we can get less expensive cars. You will see more Wagon R in Uber/Careem enabled cities than any other smaller city. In city like Lahore you will see more wagon R parked in a commercial parking than any other car.

Yeah. Any new entrants will look at the market pricing and then they will price their product accordingly. Taxes are not the only pricing factor. It's the monopoly of big 3 that resulted in huge price rise.

Let me give you an example. When Suzuki APV was launched in Pakistan. It was priced at 6.5 lac. Now it is available for 25 lac. Justify this pricing!

Just because transporters started buying APV in bulk, Sanduki Pakistan decided to take advantage of the situation and raised prices by 4 times.

Hassan every car requires coolant ideally but people choose to put water instead of coolant in the radiator...so the water will go in the same place where the coolant should go

Maybe because they didnt expect to sell any VXRs..compared to the vxl the vxr doesnt have any features at all...nobody should buy a vxr unless there is absolutely no choice

Water will make trouble. Parts get Rusty and finally cracked. Always use good quality coolant

@ ch. Talal when apv was introduced it's price was above 1 Million and not 6.5. People were not willing to buy. Then company started to give even 29 inch tv with it. It picked up sale only when it used in commercial use.

no man. It was not over 1 million when it was launched.

Initially it's carburetor model was launched in 2005 for 6.5 - 7 lac. Later in 2007 (or late 2006 if I remember correctly) EFI model was launched and price was raised to 9 - 10 lac. Last year a transporter was demanding 9.5 lac for his 2007 EFI model APV. He was saying he is selling it for no profit or loss. He bought it new for this much price.

As far as I remember it was launched for around 1.2m then due to bad sales it was discounted to 999,999. But it was never 0.7M.

Cultus VXR
For the price , it may not seem a good buy, but i have driven it 5423km in past 1 month, rest of the bad things u can argue about shitsuki or sanduki , i would agree with you on all those but i only liked one thing about this shitzuki that is fuel economy. It has saved me around Rs.8000-10,000 in terms of fuel due to its fuel economy if i comapared it to a 1.3 xli/Gli or swift.
I averaged about 19.5-20km/L.
(I hv heardOn motorway u can get even more close to 22-23km/L.) But i did not drive even a single km on it so cant say anything about tht, but i drove roads like GT road.
My usage:
I used a very light foot.
No sudden acceleration
Not going above 100km/H
RPM around 2200-2800 mostly.
Having patience and not pushing very hard to overtake every other car. Yes sometimes u have no choice but to overtake.
If swift had K-series engine like its international version, i would hv bought it even for 15lacs.

on motorway if you drive consistently at 120km/h, there are almost no chances you will get 22-23 km/h. The best average you get with any car is if you drive it around 80-90 km/h. Usually on GT road you stay below 100 due to population and traffic. So you got good average of 19 -20.
