My cultus 2018 gives 16 km per liter...its 1k km driven ..how to improve its fuel average.

15 or 16 Km per litre is quite good.... is se zada kia improve kerna he. Cultus is not a hybrid car....

No u didn’t mention that these are the figures for highway travel. Well if that is the case then this average is actually low. Let’s wait for the experts/owners to guide u better.

The avg u r talkin abt is for the highway trip only ? Or it also includes dist covered with in a city?
I wud recommend that u chk ur cultus' fuel avg on highway thru manual method.... i.e get the fuel tank topped up before travelling on highway and reset trip meter, when highway trip finishes get the tank topped up again and divide the fuel litres filled in 2nd top up with trip meter's Kms....

Secondly, avg of 22-24 Kms per litre shud cm for speeds between 60-80 Kms/hour on a highway. You may be travelling at higher speeds....

Average will improve over the time. And you may feel it after 10k kms.

@talal22: Proper inflation of tyres also helps economy. Get your tyres properly filled.
Reset the average before going on a highway trip to get a better idea. I get around 22 kpl on motorways (3000-3400 rpm & 100-110 kph) and around 16kpl in city. My dash computer currently reads 20.3 km/l after i reset it around 900 km ago. This average includes 80% highways and rest in abbottabad, pindi and peshawar.

It shows either an instantaneous mileage when the car is moving, or an overall average from the last reset of this value. Trips dont have separate averages.

Instantaneous mileage goes beyond 26 kpl on certain declines on motorways
