Thanks for your detailed reply, coincidentally I m also shifting from Suzuki Liaza but I got manual variant. After reading the above reviews and most of the people suggestion I might go for Passo...

Weird, uncomfortable and jerky...
It cuts the fuel, drops RPM's then upshifts the gear

Injectors might temporarily cut off fuel supply but pump keeps running.. RPM is dropped to protect clutch plates. AMT won't shift gears at high RPM. That will damage gearbox. So you will feel the jerk when car will upshift/downshift and clutch will engage

If you try to drive an eco AMT like a CVT or torque converter auto, then you would not only feel the jerks but cause damage and overheating of clutch plates. It requires adapting a different style, easier for people used to manual transmission.

The technology by Suzuki has some refinements done in recent years from their experience in India, but still a long way to go with intelligence and learning, remember the O/D off button in automatic cars? You don't want the TCM to get confused and switch gears to and fro to fish for the right one causing juddering.

Also the manual mode is not entirely manual, it still down shifts automatically so still convenient, doesn't auto up shift and doesn't let you up shift on very low RPM.

Brother - always decide by inspecting both cars personally. Advise is helpful but decision should always be your own based on your requirements and research.

Passo is a little bit expensive to maintain specially if one gets into an accident, body parts are expensive. So do keep these things in mind before finally going for a purchase. But If you do get a good car, it will serve you well for next 5 years inshaAllah. Rest is your own decision.

Thanks for your brotherly advise. Yes, definitely I will look for both options in detail before opting for one, its just that your above post and reviews else where aren't favoring Cultus Auto, so I am inclined towards imported either Passo or Vitz.

Yesterday, I went to Suzuki dealership, the salesman couldn't brief me properly about the advantages of buying Cultus Auto, it looks he lacks some basic knowledge about the car. When I asked, Is this Cultus fully automatic? He said, sir the steering, windows are fully powered however, the gear shift is not fully automatic. When I asked then why it is being said as Cultus Auto? He said, "sir mujhe confirm nahi, bus sab yehi kehte hai k gear fully automatic nahi hai " I was stunned to get this lame answer by a salesman.

Cultus Reviews lately.

People who were used to using japanese cars are moving to new cultus.

nice to see people leaving shady & expensive JDM's and moving to PKDM (Pak Assembled Cars)

Indeed, the reviews of Cultus VXL are pretty good. But I want to buy an auto variant and reputation of Cultus Auto is not so good.

you may youtube Celerio auto variant. you will have tons of UK, German and Indian Professional reviews and give you a clearer picture.

But the problem is, Pak Suzuki don't follow the same quality which is being followed world wide while manufacturing / assembling cars in Pakistan, that's why customer face so much problem .

Hello, I alhamdulillah managed to buy New Cultus 2018 VXL Silky Silver for 13.91. Writing down review for people who do not settle for used JDM cars and want to buy a new PKDM car which is cheap and easy to maintain. Exterior of the car is lovely, easy to clean dynamics and cool to the eyes. Well I think engines or transmission may tou koi problem nai atie..they are up to the mark..yes some body parts have some quality control issues but these issues are with every local assembled cars..not only with pak Suzuki..

Guys i bought new cultus vxr on start of march.i have a question tht shall i change its mobil oil on first 1000 km checkup or just change it after 5000.

on 5000, you can preferably do it on 3500.

i usually get everything changed at 3500km of all my cars.

havent done cultus oil change yet only driven 1300km

i always thought k jab engine hot ho to oil drain karain.. so dat most of the oil drain hojai.. as engine hot hoga to oil thin hoga n easily drain hoga... aaj first tine samgh aya k 10w40 means hot hoga to zayada thick hoga...
