Sorry to interupt you in the running discussion. I had an issue of oil sepage under distributor and on mechanic's suggestion , changed tappet cover packing + distrbutor packing and ring on saturday but oil is still found at the same area. What is the solution of this sepage.

It is of Very good Quality and creating right pressure to my system

Same problem of oil dipping/spots at my engine.Mechanic told that he has to change Engine Packing,Distributor Packing & all labour cost + parts will be 1500 Rs.
If there will be problem of Ring, it will be of extra cost
How much u paid????
Due to this continuous oil dipping, my radiator hose pipe are damaged below that
BTW Brake pad picture u attached seems Fake to me

I paid 1000 for changing if tappet cover packing + distributor packing + brake pad.
500rs for machining work on discs.

My Cultus Battery was dying because of Karachi's winter breeze. it was giving me kick start so i replaced battery but ripped off so i want to share my experience so that you people can be aware.

Battery wala gave me Phoenix XP50L in Rs. 3800 & got my 2 years old battery of Phoenix old model XP50 in 600 so i had to pay 3200. He told me that XP50L has 11 plates & 50 ampere(while my old one had 9 plate)

I saw all packs of battery but could not find any written info about this battery.Later on found after installation, i found online that it is of 9 plates.
MY SUGGESTION IS TO INSTALL AT LEAST 11 PLATES Battery in Cultus with at least 55 or 60 Ampere)

do not get confused between model number & ampere.All battery companies r making fool such as AGS 65 does not necessarily means 65 amperes, it will be 40 or 45 ampere(65 is the model number )

GO ONLY FOR AGS or Exide. Do not try Phoenix battery(As i am not much satisfied by it personally)

I got fooled too when battery wala put in 55amp in my baleno saying bhai ye kaafi hai. Bus wohi baat k jab insan ko chay banna hota hai bann jata hai. Ab that battery actually is very insufficient for such a huge car!

Did he apply silicone sealant? It is must otherwise oil will keep seeping through tappet "jain" and rings. Usually mechanics use cheap quality silicon which is totally useless. Buy genuine "Mega Grey" silicon and give it to Mechanic while getting your car engine work done and force him to use it. It's a bit expensive but believe me it will stop all kind of seepage.

Usually so called 55-65 ampere batteries available in our markets have got 30-35A actually. These battery manufacturers put wrong numbers on batteries to fool the customers (e.g. AGS GL 48, GL 50, AGS GL 65 GS 165 etc. These numbers do not represent actual amperes of battery) While buying battery check the actual capacity written somewhere on box in very small.

Battery seller fooled you to sell the battery but believe me Phoenix batteries are of best quality. You should have gone for some bigger phoenix battery.
Battery in cars fail earlier due to bad alternator or if you keep topping it up with tap water.

Yes he did bossil silver silicone on both tappet and distributor packings. But oil seep is still there. @saboor73 sb said bad oil ventilation which i didnt understand. Do u have any idea what is that and how to solve?

which number you talking about? what should be ideal ampereage for Baleno/Cultus?

YEs Talal bro, i second you on this. You are right. I also have a very good experience with Phoenix batteries. I switched to PHoenix from Exide coz of its performance. I used its 4 batteries on my 2 UPS at home. Twice i changed my car's battery. I am currently using PHoenix dry battery in my car and its working from last 2 years. Car still start on first self. It is a good 5 years experience with phoneix batteries in home, business or in car.

Edit: I am using 45A battery in my car (sealed one also the acid one) so i dont think i really need a big battery like 55a for my car. Company ships Cultus with 35Amp battery

Check the PCV. It's a small valve attached at the backside of tappet cover. If it's choked excessive pressure will build up due to the gases escaping combustion chamber and cause leakage of oil from seals.

Next time use Mega Grey. Buy one from good spare parts store and take it with you whenever you need to get the engine work done.
