A bad PCV valve can cause of oil burn and reduction. G10B engine of efi cultus is notorious for tappet noise. Check them to a trained mechanic, they might need adjustment.

I took the car to mechanic regarding tappet sound. When he openned tappet he told that oil is not coming in 3 tappets.. so he have to open the "cam" or may be head... during this cam can be broken.. for this you have to buy whole new head... costs 25000.. ab samjh nh aa rha what to do? Should I go to 3S?

oil nahi aaraha is a serious thing. jab is head me nahi araha tou new head me bhi nahi ayega. means oil sump and oil ki jaali could be choke which resides down the engine. but i still do not think ye issue hai..and if you go to 3s, tou 25000 me 1 zero aur barha len..

He opened tappets and checked the holes and said all holes for ok just oil is not coming with pressure... then he changed my filter but still pressure is less... Now opening oil pump... lets seee

yes thats what i am saying that oil ka pressure na hona is a different story to be addressed than changing the whole head...

Means issue will be resolved (inshallah) with change of oil pump and jaali? Thanks alot

jaali is in the oil sump and if its choked, then oil is never moving upwards in the engine.

Does that mechanic has gauge to check oil pressure. Of course not. He will work on hit and trial basis now. Most probably oil pump is gone due to use of 20W50 oil.

No he doesnt have any gauge, just checking by applying fingers on holes and leaving them. So, it let mechanic do what he is doing or go to some recommanded mechanic whi has gadgets? ( But I scare there are hardly any.

Presently, the oil I am using now is 10W40 but previous oil was 20W50.

I havent asked for quotations or estimates, but how much oil pump and jaali will cost?

they will be sourced from junkyard. jalli will be around 1500 or so and no idea of oil pump. if the scene is that bad then only jaali will be choked and nothing else will be needing replacement. but its a lengthy job overall. what is the status now?

Mechanic is saying that Oil Pump light is not flickering, it means oil pump is working fine and he has to open head to check valve below head. I asked him check oil pump, but he told that he cant open oil pump as it need to be fixed with lathe machine and he doesnt have it.
I have told him that back things back and I will go to some other mechanic.

So, kindly suggest me mechanic in Karachi...

have the car packed and keep on running with the tappet sounds. i really hope there is actually no oil issue. you can have the car checked at Star gate market too (nearest to you) and get an opinion before having the major work done

He says oil is coming but its less than normal... Do you suggest that I get oil pump n jaali checked any ways even if there is no oil related lights?

Start the engine and open oil cap on tappet cover. Rev up the engine a lil bit and see that oil comes out from oil cap hole or not. This is a desi method not recommended by factory service manual.
You better check ur engine few more skilled mechanics.
