This black box is Charcoal canister also known as EVAP canister which ensures that dangerous fumes from your gas tank aren't released into the environment and instead puts them to work powering the engine.

Simply charcoal canister in your car absorbs excess gasoline fumes and vapors that accumulate in your gas Dank. do not dismantle it

@brownrose78 there are 2 connecting ports on top.. in my car one of these is connected to map sensor i guess, the other one is spare.. what are proper connections for it.. thank u

One port to connect with a pipe coming from fuel tank.

This pipe is different than the fuel transportation and return pipes from tank to engine.

Can you point out which port are you referring as spare?

I think your connections are mess up in this regard. Are you feeling petrol/gasoline vapor fumes smell?

@brownrose78 thank u for sharing pic. Yes my connections are bit different from what u shared.. the connection on top left of cannister is same as mine. But the connection on top right of cannister in this pic u shared is coming from tank. This top right one is missing from my car. Instead, the pipe coming from the tank is connected to bottom of cannister.
The car is running fine otherwise, no smell etc. I just bought it so i am a bit concerned and confused. Should i connect them myself?

Aoa guys I have an efi cultus. My car has only one speaker which is below the grill in trunk (Automate). There is no other place for speakers. I wanted to ask if i can install new speakers in side grills in trunk? What size would fit there? I dont want to install speakers in dashboard. And also recommend some nice speakers in budget of 3k-4k. Thanks.

Best way to diagnose the problem that why is engine oil burning due to ring piston work or valve seal issue is to get the engune compression test done...

You might not need a complete overhaul...

Hi.I just bought a cultus 2003 model. Can anyone tell me a good honest and reasonable mechanic in Rawalpindi. I need to get the car checked it is having some issues.

Following are the issues;
1. Can gives black smoke when given extra race. Oil is at level. no reduction in oil.
2. Petrol average is very bad. giving hardly 8-9 km/litre.
3. There is a strange sound when car is moving in 3-4 or 5th gear. I think is from gear. hear it is called goonj.

Please do let me know a good mechanic so that I can sort these out. Thanks.

Lekin kehtay o2 sensor before and after CAT apke air fuel mix ko affect karte hain aur fuel average kam hoti hai
