I use Guard air filters, which have always been clean. I will check for oil now. (I only recently changed the PCV valve, and it hasn't been a month.) Are the wires also NGK? If I'm getting new wires, do I need to replace the distributor too?

Yes, the head gasket and exhaust manifold gaskets are leaking and need to be changed. It's odd that there are no bubbles in the radiator while the car is idling. I don't think there's even a thermostat in place.
