I have Cultus 2005, it was giving me 7km/ltr with AC in the city. I went for tuning mechanic changed Fuel Filter, Spark Plugs and Gene (it was sort of rubber packing in the upper part of engine), adjusted RPM to 1000. Recently i had a oil change too i-e ZIC X7 FE used oil and air filter of Leppon.
After all this i got 7.5 km/ltr. ODO is 110,000km.
In my opinion this is not a good/ desired improvements.
Can anyone help me in this regard that how can I improve the mileage.
Mechanic was also claiming that after tuninig you will get 10 to 12 km/ltr.

AOA dear members,
I hv Cultus VXR 2007 in which i installed kabli Carby with butterfly, spark plugs and get it tuned with mechanic...even than its not giving more than 8 kmpl without ac...
Most of the carby cultus are giving 10-12 kmpl with ac is a great achievement i suppose..pl anyone who can tell me how can i achieve this milestone...

My Cultus 07 carby is giving hardly 7km/ltr on petrol within city without AC. On Cng the average is around 15km/kg in city without AC. Pl guide me how to improve its mileage on petrol. Already have tuned the carburetor and changed butterfly

You have to tune ur engine on petrol first. U cant get good average on both fuels.

Brother Pl guide me in detail about tune ur engine on petrol first. I am driving on CNG just because of this huge mileage difference CNG twice more than petrol. 7km/l is insane and its like drinking petrol. I want to drive it on petrol permanently but mileage should be atleast 10 to 12 km/ltr.

There are 2 types of setting for ur car....you either set ur car on cng or petrol....u will get good avg in cng when car is set for that....if u plan to use petrol only then get ur car tuned to petrol only

use 13.80.155 tyre size and have thermostat valve installed on engine your mileage will improve to atleast 12/km with in city with a/c on and 14/15 km without a/c.

I have cultus 2007 (carby) and it gives me about 50 to 55 km locally without ac in rs.500 petrol(currently the price of petrol is 112.68 per litre)

I have 2013 Suzuki cultus it gives 14 in city with ac and without ac 15 to 16 on long it will give u 16-17

I am deciding to purchase Suzuki Cultus 2000 model. Can Someone please guide me about its fuel consumption average, with and without AC. I have heard alot about Cultus, that it is not so good regarding fuel Consumption.

What car is that. BTW you got pretty much decent numbers for city driving with 1.6L machine even new altis 1.6 is not giving that much in city commute.
