No one in this thread has bothered to tell you there are two variants of Cultus when you buy older. Before november 2007 model, Cultus got carburetor engine. Maintenance for that is dirt cheap. Later than 2007 models are EFI. Maintenance for that is expensive. For example, the complete wiring set for cultus efi costs 16,000 rupess. It's new ECU costs 55k rupees. Sensors are also expensive. But ordinary service should not cost you more than any other car in Pakistan. Moreover, since I personally own cultus, here is the list of praises from my end:
-Noisy cabin. On bumps, car rattles a lot like you are travelling in "tutti pajji village bus".
-Shitty air conditioner. Don't expect it will chill you in hot summers. In fact, you would open windows for cooler air than air conditioning.
-Pathetic headlights. You will have to choose higher wattage bulbs for brighter lights.
-Body of older cultus is extremely solid. Don't believe in what people say. They must have hit car badly.
-Road grip is excellent.
So, why do people still buy it? Because it is relatively cheaper and everyone else also buys it. People follow the trend. Plus there are not much better alternatives available in Pakistan.
Liana parts are expensive than Cultus. But you will find its parts from junkyard if you can't afford new. Why didn't Liana do well in market? That's because people found better alternatives than that.
