Suzuki Cultus vxl airbag sensor fault

My cultus vxl 2021 (13000 odo) got recently airbag check light, went to suzuki dealer and found the airbag sensor module needs to be changed as it's not working. And to my surprise it's not included in warranty. Suzuki staff said it would cost 33000

Hi brother, Suzuki charging too much , follow my instructions im sure you can fixed by own . First of all check what is error code , usually codes came up belonging to air bag cob assembly or sensors usually installed right left towards fender ,you may also have more in door location.
testing method ;
First of all you must disconnect the battery terminal before testing srs. Remove the sensor harness and check the continuity by ohm meter it’s should be 1.4 to 1.5 kilo ohms , if no resistance replace it by purchasing kabli or new one ,
Next also check cob coil be removing airbag on steering, cob should have continuity in both connector, if you horn is also not working that make sure issue in cob coil

If everything is fine then it must be wiring issues or bad connectivity

The issue is with the airbag sensor module which is placed underneath the Handbrake console. Regarding the error code it says BCM not connected to ecu, what I understood is that the airbag sensor module is unable to communicate to car's ECU. Suzuki staff say this is common company fault these days as so many similar cases are coming.

Well its usually cause of bcd to ecu communication error due to if srs triggered and EPROM chip in airbag module flagged for this event , if you are unable to communicate obd2 to get srs error code due to such error bcd to ecu communication failure it’s mean something is wrong with eprom chip in srs module , except your wiring is conformed fine . Cross check all harness and wiring first . At next level you need to get reprogram eprom chip by clone from other working srs module . Definitely this job is very less expenditure rather than new replacement,
If no any srs triggered history and wiring is ok then it must be eprom memory corrupt and still need to flesh clone from working srs to get fix this issue

Waelekum salam brother , yes you can do it by own self , once you have to check which eprom is installed in the board it’s usually by Winbond, you can use any eprom programmer even cheap one can get around Rs.1000 . You can perform read write to almost all eprom chip
