Hey guys well i made a generator set for my home using suzuki 660 cc watercooled engine and a 5 KW alternetor. after some time, it was overheated and the piston rings were damaged ane the result was smoke and oil was being consumed, so i decided to restore it.
Following parts would b changed
Piston RingsValve SealsHead Gasket
enjoy the pics............
After disassembling each and every part. everything was washed with kerosene oil, and then dryed. Then electrical items were washed with petrol.
The frame was painted black after apllying a coat of Red Oxide primer..
Today i got the cylinder head being prepared by the machinist..... its ready now for fitting..........
file the edges down - otherwise the engine may knock when loaded up and hot.
mentioning prices would help others alot r u using natural gas to run the engine?did u open ur and assemble it yourself?
hmmmm nice......
nice work dude
@ hash4uyes dude i opened it my self n fitted it back. yes i m using natural gas as a fuel for it. its very economical.u need price of which item?
awesome work
it will seize again.. try to use some equipment to monitor its temp ,, and also have a fan blowing air across it to dissipate heat.. also do not paint it .. that will just cause to slow down the transfer of heat to the atmosphere..
can you please list down price of Piston Rings, Head Gasket kit and price of Valve seals for this engine?
list down the price for the rings ...and gasket and other parts ..may help those who r interested in rebuilding engine
I'm facing this in my D15 after a gasket change.
