Salam All senior & experts
Dear I am new in this forum and recently shifted from 2 wheels to 4wheel (suzuki fx 1985 model). As I am new and need your prompt guidance is required on following issues...
1. CHG light( charging light) remains on oftenly.... But there is no issue while starting car in the morning
2. Handbreak doestnot work fully.... Car starts moving on steep road.
3. Immense vibration in steering/chakka on start condition, is it normal? I have replaced all engine foundations.
4. Gap between doors & windows, most of rubbers are not present. From where I can get and how much it will cost?

1: Invest in a multimeter and check the voltage on battery with engine running at idle and with electrical load at idle it should stay above 13.4 atleast but it would be even better if it stays above 13.6 with all electrical load when idling. If it doesn't them conduct voltage drop test at both positive and negative side.
OR it could be as simple as the wire for that battery lamp hooked up wrong by some genius electrician..
2: Get the rear brake shoe's checked and the rear Drum diameter it's limit would be written in the drum and get the handbrake cable's adjusted.
3: Use choke to raise RPM on cold start and when the engine in warm adjust the idle RPM correctly and the vibration will decrease but you can't make it to zero because of 3 cylinder engine all 3 cylinder engine's vibrate a little bit.
4: Search old part's markets for all rubbers and stuff and get the door's aligned from some good denter.

@aliamar1101 thanks for prompt reply... Dear I went to Chah Sultan and it was not a nice experience.... I spent all my day tak-e-mari and evently end up with nothing. You may name a machanic aur denter whom I can approach there.

Boss recently I have replaced my rear leathers, machanic told me that he will take 600 as labour for handbreak and wires will cost betwéen 700-1200, which is too much.
Ya you are very right, my all doors are little bit out of shape, one of denter said that your car need "Kichi". Most of the denters avoid old cars and they focus on money.. they don't spend time on such thing, but now I have found a nice denter, I will visit him soon but for rubbers I have to go Rawalpindi

Some times driver side door does not close properly, I have lock first then close the door

I got handbrake cable's for my Cultus for 600/-RS a pair they are of good quality not the best but they are working fine so these should be cheaper than that.
Your mechanic is asking more for labour here i paid 400/-RS for handbrake cable change and rear brake service.

Rs 400 labour is nominal and I will also go for medium quality handbreak cable soon
