Dear Pakwheelers!
I have 1984 FX and the car is with me for 1.5 years and now its engine is weak because it give lots of smoke at start up but after 5 mints once it reach to normal temperature than it stop giving smoke.
Currently it is running on CNG but its petrol connection is start but direct (in case of emergency) not with the tank because of rust in the tank.
On CNG it can reach up to 80 - 90 km speed.
now i decided to rebuilt its engine and keep this car for atleast new 1 or 2 years, i checked with few mechanic about the costing of rebuilding the engine some say around 20 k will be needed if you change all necessary parts.
Other say we will charge our labour and you can arrange the parts and labour cost is around 5k to 8 k, so please guide me what should be reasonable cost of labour and in case i have to purchase the parts any reliable shop at Plaza you can advice?
What are the things i should change or should keep close eye.
My idea is to build the engine with all A quality products and also install new petrol tank and lines so that in order to avoid any problem.
Also i heard that some time mechanic change the piston size from the original size and that increase the fuel consumption as well, so if any one have engine specification of suzuki fx so please share with me.
