I bought my Suzuki GR 150 on June of 2024 and it has been a perfect justification of its price. The throttle response is amazing. Comfort outstanding and the beastly yet tamed look makes it one of the best bikes you can have for the long run in Pakistan.
Two things that disappointed me with this bike is the top speed and my engine head started to seam out after driving around 5500 km.
Engine seam issue even though is an easy fix which can be fixed by reassembling the engine kit and reapplying silicon paste to seal it back is not included in warranty. It costs about 800 rs to fix it, but it disappointed me as this shouldn’t have happened to a new bike.
The top speed is 105 km/h on a downward slope and at times maxes out at 95-100 km/h. Upon research it’s air filter and exhaust are the two main things why it’s lacking along with its heavy weight. These two things help with consumption and the overall life of the engine but still the top speed does not justify the price at all. Especially if you’re travelling city to city on plane roads. On the other hand it is best for mountainous terrain and the handling, comfort and torque makes it an experience which is totally worth it.
I have installed two seat covers. One leatherette to protect the original seat and one soft metal wire cover to protect from cat scratches.
I also have installed an engine guard which improves the overall look of the bike immensely.
Please drop in for recommendations of what I should add as a modification and ask any questions if you are about to go for GR 150. I’d be happy to help.
