Yes, I face the same issue, a hissing noise born exactly after 4500km , firstly, I thought it was engine as I was really pushing the bikes on High Rpms turned out to be a loose timing chain got it fixed. Secondly, the bike started to give vibrations/thrills/thartharahat kind of noise . Initially it was giving such noise in low pitch after 80km and after 6.5-7000 rpms, now it gives noise around 80km and 5000 Rpms.
Problems that Still Exist.
1. low pitch vibrations from down the bike or rear end (difficult to pin down)
2. Loss of Power
3. Chain is tighter at one spot and get loose at others.
Probable Solutions;-
- In my Case , Vibrations are caused by ,I am not sure, may be because of warped sprocket or loosened rubber bushes in the back tire hub.(not solved)
2.Loss of power is because of loose chain or engine running lean due to bad mixture setting. if the spark plug is too red then the engine must be running lean. google for how to read spark plugs.(solved)
3.chain is tighter at some spots because of warped and damaged chain sprockets. etc.(will be solved when these parts will be changed)
Lastly, I must say I am really pushing the bike on road and off roads .So there must be a trade off , but I am hoping that when my drive chain set and rubber bushes of back tire hub would be new , the bike will not make any weird vibrations/thrill/thumping at high Rpms .
Please correct me if you think this will not solve my GR 150 vibrations problems
