SUZUKI GS 150 - Heat issue

Hi Everyone,

I recently got new GS 150. I have used it 1200 KM till now. First oil change was done at 500 KM and second on 1000 KM.
I have observed that it gets very much heated up when I am in traffic and clutch, brake, race are used excessively.
Engine gets heated up so much that legs start feeling the burn from heat, fuel tank is also heated up.
Is it normal? Or there is some issue. Can you guys please guide what should i do if it is not normal thing?

Your engine is new so its normal. Heat will reduce with time as the moving parts make their space

Please use SAE 20W 50 rated oil and after 1500 kms try to push the engine at speeds in b/w 80,90 kms/hr. Hopefully the problem will be resolved in next 1000 kms.

Its normal for air cooled engines to behave like that in hot weather when you are stuck in traffic. Try to avoid traffic jams.

No bro its not normal that even tanks get hot as per me your bike is running on rich fuel mixture, inspect the plug if it has brown tip then you are good, if black then time to visit a mechanic

it will be normal after 2k. and yes use 20-50 oil of good brand

yar garmi men traffic men kharay ho kar yehi cheezen hoti hen. dont worry. agar tang ko lag rahi hai heat to is men engine ka kasoor nai hai. better get used to 150

Lean mixture per bike garam hota hy rich per nhn hota . By default rich ata hy.

Its perfectly normal in a brand new engine. If you are bothered by the heat in a GS150's brand new engine, wait till you ride a CG125 brand new You'd literally stop riding the bike in extreme temperature.

OR, wear jeans which can cover your legs to save you from heat.

I bought GS 150 in Jun 2018. I am facing the same issue. Bike's engine get quite heated up. Also there is a sound as if gas is leaking from engine. I got my bike checked at Suzuki Workshop but mechanic did not said anything. Can any one suggest a good mechanic?
