ha ha ha ha haha Sir IMHO every body has his own opinion but archon Sb. even if we get it tuned by a good mechanic still some things are factual.. I found GS150 Specially front brake 4/10 in comparison to RP/Dlx 10/10 front wheel braking isay bara bol na sajhye ga but I am fully aware of using both brakes all together infact its actually the front brake which actually stops a Bike rear brake works as a stabilizer, but GS150 has a mini drum brake in front which is totally un-realistic for any rider to accept as a proper brake for bike with 12BHP on rear wheel...
Even a CG125 10BHP revised its brakes to Disc system abroad two decades ago (so Off-course there was a dire need which Honda felt) even our most loved AHL125 has a mighty Drum Brake in front if you notice to stop a mini rocket, so by that means the engineers at work on those facilities do did some math before upgrading the brake system, the Only reason I see GS150 has poor tyres and Poor brakes is to make it cost effective nothing else.
After I saw GS150 brakes badly failing to stop its wheel rotating at high speed I still did not advised @dr.omair to actually go for a disc brake upgrade but suggested him to use a RoadMaster Drum brake in front because it is as powerful as our Disc. But @dr.omair found another technique of using half Cut Brake Shoes he explained it will increase braking of bike even with this mini drum brake so if it goes successful we might not need to change the drums at all.
Rahi baat braking distance ki tu If you have a disc brake tu ap bilkul mokay per pohanch ker bhi Bike ko akheer narrow stoppie mar sakty ho (Done that to extreme) where as in case of drum brakes I am afraid You cant tail gate or narrow stoppies even i remember an accident where I helped to tow the bike to road side where some one applied extreme brake and the Brake cable just slipped and Drums failed.
