Bhai, of the rocker arm was distorted supposedly, your mechanic should have changed it during the overhaul... Check for the standard gap in the manual... If I am not forgetting it is 10mm. If at standard gap the tappers still tick then you have distortion

bhai 1 more area of concern ,,, suspension ,,, i have got new KYB shocks and new springs (front) for my khyber ,, but the i am not comfortable with the height of car ,, its excessive ,, the gap between the tyre and fender is around 4 to 4.5 inch ... which visually seems high ,, i have observed that it shud b usally maximum 3" (with 12 inch tyre) ,, my tyre is also 13inch still the gap is higher... what to do ??? despite all new items (best available quality) in suspension, i dont feel that the ride is good enough on rough roads (kachay roads) ,,

Bhai if the car is higher than normal the ride is ruined... Have you installed the correct shocks and dampers for the car or if you have installed parts from another car like Cultus you can have issues.... Ask you suspension guy to check why the ride height is higher than normal... Sometimes, suspension techs install rubber mounts to increase the ride height...

all parts installed are of Khyber and no padding/excessive mounts are installed ... suspension guy claimed that since the spring is new and after market , the tension/compression of these new springs is diff than that of kabuli/genuine springs that is why the height is increased and it may lower down by 2-3 months usage

Nonsuch thing will happen even in years after installation.. @nnabeel bhai is right... The guy must have installed dampers for a CNG Car, these springs are much harder and higher than normal...

My Front Shockers were changed to KYB few years ago. Never had clearance or ride height issue. Please check, as my cars springs were not changed.

Yes. Generally Springs that are sold here for Khyber are hard and design so that it can also bear the load of CNG Cylinder and ride comfort is compromised. I am too planning to change to softer rear Springs if the ride feels uncomfortable and unbalanced as CNG Cylinder is now removed.

these "NOVA car door locks" are not of good quality ,, tried and tested,, in past market used to have japenese lock sets but aaj kal wo short hn ,, still market m indian manufactured lock set available hai, wo bakiyon se bohat behtar hai , 2500/- ka mil rha (current rates) ,,,,,, only if ap ki car m before restoration wo Almari wala lock set lgya ja chuka then phr genuine ya indan lock set nahi lg skta jb tk dentr dubara se lock ka hole sai se na banae...

I AGREE.....100%.

if ur car had original old locks, then go and buy the indian one and get rid of this. because if the holes are for old ones, then the dentar will shave and make the hole bigger to fit these. And belive me, these keys are worst as we have to insert in right position other wise they will always not fit properly.

My car had these Nova Car Locks and yes, they were pain to open as you have to be specific about the position of the key to open the locks. But they are the only option because previously same locks were being used.
