Suzuki khyber engine swap?

ive got a khyber 1999.i had plans to sell it but seeing prices of cars going up,im planning to swap its engine with some fuel efficient engine and remove cng.ive been driving car on petrol since winter and its kinda heavy on pocket..engine was overhauled 70k kms before and still is running strong.(no oil decreasing and runs AC well with no overheating)currently giving me local 10-12 kmpl.(rawalpindi)and on long does 17-18.
ive kept this car for 6 years and its body is clean and rust free,might as well get its painted to give it a cleaner look..

what are my options.? what engines could be swapped with no/minimum alteration.and kindly post engine costs too if possible.would vitz engine fit? i want manual transmission..and budget is 50-70k.max 1.3L engine is required,1.5 is out of question.and again,economy on petrol is required,have no plans to install cng,lpg and alikes

No Need to swap the engine mileage you are getting is best in its class and year. A friend has got a really neat vitz 2011 reg and he gets 17 - 18 from it on highways.

If you are still not satisfied go to bilal gunj and ask for the prices of engines, you will change your plan immediately.

Its a JDM khyber engine.
1000 CC EFI and turbo intercooler.

and guess what owner was asking for 200 Ks for it. (H) , just suppose you find a clean thing like that ( it will go in you car without any alteration) and how much would you bargain on the price if the engine is in 100 Ks can you spend that much of amount on it. I would never. If my car is giving me that kind of mileage.

im not worried about the mileage on long routes,its giving me pretty good mileage there,but in local its literally smothering me,ive to kill plans just because i dont like its local KMPL.. even 1.5 L engines in new cars give better mileage than this..i drive with light foot.is it possible to get better mileage if i change plugs to iridium,change plug wires,ignition coil? would it make a difference,cuz i can try going for small spending before just going for a swap,which i know is hectic and do not always turnout to be the way you wouldve wanted...

yes i saw the thread of yours and so the engine.its really is mouth watering but its price is jaw dropping the engine if he gives to me in 80k,(adjusting my old motor) i'd be happy to take this off his hands(provided the engine is clean as much as it is from outside)

my khyber 91 is giving 15 km per litre local ... u only need to get ur carburater work done , new butterfly new jets etc

i know a mechanic wjo is a specialist of carburator , will charge u 2 k but ur car will be ok ... i did another mehrans work done by him that mehran gave 20 km/l on motorway althought thats 2011 model euro 1 not euro 2

adil410 is right better have its carb checked and if it needs get it repaired, although its a far retched idea but if the carb is in bad condition you can swap it with a better condition kabli carb. Other wise our KHARIDIAS are really miracle worker. Our honest opinion do not change the engine. And i do not think iridium tip plugs and other things are going to make such a difference.

Han i have very good experience with liqui molly products specially carb cleaner and engine flush, both these things cost 700 and 510 respectively do get your car treated with these things you will feel the difference.

@OP, the main problem with the carburetor vehicle is that they are tuned to give good mileage on one fuel only. First make up your mind that for which fuel you have to opted for, well in the present condition of the Country it is obvious that it will be petrol. Remove the cylinder from your car and tune it on petrol. The advice of removing cylinder is to reduce the body weight on engine.

carburetor has been already worked on,float level and jets are as per company specs.how much smaller jet number can i use that car wont get underpowered and give better economy? currently i guess 90 and 110 number are used..

what average are you getting, at this point if the car is running fine (carb is not giving problems) then you should check your entire ignition system, that includes coil, wires and carburetor.

once that is clear then get to fine tuning it.

btw you won't be getting any good fuel average if you have the cng venturi installed

find the service manual for khyber, it should give you the data

Can you give me the contact of mechanic (wjo) so I can contact him for my Suzuki Khyber fuel problem because its giving me only 8.432 per liter locally in Lahore.
