Hey guys, Creating This thread so we can discuss the maintenance of Khyber. I am a literal Newbie. I hope the experts will help me.

I own a 1994 Khyber Limited Edition
I live in Islamabad
So here are my questions:
Question 1: How Often Should I replace all the oils? Engine oil, Brake oil Etc
Question 2: Where to get my 1994 Khyber Get Oven Baked Painted Under the Budget of 30k?
Question 3: Should I replace my car's carb with Mehran carb?
Question 4: Where to find the Back Headlights? Mine is broken.

I also need to get my whole suspension rebuilt and dashboard repaired and painted, the suspension is worn out and the dashboard has many cracks in it. Is it possible to find original suspension parts? I'll soon add the daytime pictures of the car with the interior. I have the budget of 60k and will start a restoration project on the car, the car is already in good condition so it doesn't need a very big budget.

How Often Should I replace all the oils? Engine oil, Brake oil Etc

The owner's manual recommends the following :

Change oil after 10,000 km or 8 months
Replace engine coolant after 30,000 km or 1 year
Replace brake fluid after 30,000 km or 1 year
Replace transmission oil after 45,000 km or 3 years

Your 1994 isn’t Limited Edition. Khyber Limited Edition came in end 1999 and 2000 year only.

Question 4: Where to find the Back Headlights? Mine is broken.

In market ask for “MALTA” company backlights. It is the OEM replacement. Come with translucent glass to evenly spread the light. Costed me Rs. 1300/- for a pair back in 2018 (Lahore).

Updated This is sample after cleaning. I purchased chrome spray (rs. 250)that will be used for reflectors. There is some translucent type glass too which spreads light, which maybe missing in most khybers. Picture 1 is red glass and translucent glass. Picture 2 is only red glass with no translucent glass. Oh sorry, I was provided with the wrong information by my brother. I checked it know nothing is written on the back except "Suzuki" "Khyber" (I know my car is painted by the first owner), My bad. They are still available but very rare

They are also very costly compared to others available in the market

These are the answer to your questions:

1. If your engine is OK then replace your engine oil after every 5000 Kilometers, replace brake oil yearly and Gear oil after 40 Thousand Kilometers.

2. If you are in Karachi, then you can get oven baked paint from Mukka Chowk in this budget

3. No, never install Mehran Carburettor, simply overhaul your Carburettor and it will be new after remake

4. For back light, you can easily get from Plaza market

5. Suspension can be repaired from Any good shop like Shahjee or Afzaal

6. Dashboard can be repaired and will look new from Ikram Bhai Dashboard wala near Taleemi Baagh

I personally own a 93 Khyber. Things I do to maintain it.

1. Change the oil will the hyundai 10w30 every 3000-3500 kms
2. Change the brake fluid every year or 20000kms
3. Change transmission fluid with 80w90 caltex or hyundai every 100000. It is a manual car doesn't require changes at 45 or 60 like CVTs

Still running on original caliper and brake servo, give it a bit of polish every couple of months and park it under shade...

If you were in Karachi I would have helped you for the parts brother... As @brownrose78 mentioned...

Do one thing first sort the car out mechanically and electrically... Leave the cosmetics for a later day...

The story of my car is, the first owner drove it roughly. He got into an accident in which the car rolled over, he repainted it but the paint quality was bad and the painter was incompetent. The paint is faded, There are overspray marks, etc. I bought this car for 2 Lakh, Spent 2 Lakh on it got ragzine, new seat covers, new tires, and rims (The rims and tires costed me 50k)
and there were some other things. I have a budget of 60k more to spend on my car and add it to my collection.

Yes it can be with little alterations but no need of it.

If you like, you can repair the old one too... If difficult in Islamabad, you can send to Karachi by Daewoo to anyone here and get it repaired
