Suzuki Khyber speedmeter showing wrong speed

I have observed recently that my Suzuki Khyber 1998 model is showing wrong speed while car's actual speed is not that.

While the car is below 60 speed the difference is of 5 to 10 km/hr which means if car is actually running 30 or 35 the meter would show 40.

But when car reaches 80 the meter shows 100 and so on so in speed it is showing 20 km/hr difference.

Service and do calibration of your Odometer and speedometer, then observe it.

Might be you have over sized or undersigned Tyre or Rim which also causes little difference

how does the calibration is done ? By the way i have stock size tyres i.e 12 inches

A good electrician fixes it. My khyber is older than yours, so this calibration was out plus as it was old model car, so needles were also little loose and displaced with a minor play in between them.
I got them fixed from Electrician Mani at Sagheer Centre, Karachi (recommended by pakwheeler here)

it can happen ciz of wrong tyre size or faulty speedo meter cable life

and check spcially from the gearbox side .... normally it gets damaged ....and it may slip

if differance is more at low speed while accelaratin and its less on high speed with steady padal then its damaged
