Hi guys,

just bought the Liana CNG wanted to know if i shud start using it on CNG str8 away or wait till the running in is done that is 1000 kms. Some one advised me to wait till 5,000 kms are completed. Will post pics over the week end but meanwhile correct advise will be appreciated.

congratulations on ur purchase sir, i think u should first run it 1000km or so...well i'm not really sure about that.wait for cng experts to come online

thanks yes i wanna know dont want to mess up the car.I asked the dealership but they did not have a clue at all which is not unusal.

well AFAIK the only prob a car engine can have by running on cng that this will take extra out of valve train other than that i dun see any prob

And Liana have a better cng setup so there shouldn't be any problem running on cng but to be on safe side and bcoz we also have winters u should wait for 500 to 1000 km than run your car on cng..

Bhai, A good Car dealer will always tell you to run about 2000 km initially on Petrol, then turn to CNG full time..

The first 1000 km are the very foundation of any band new car, it has to be delt very carefully and considering only the best choices among choices.

I think first 1000km are the most important and also fragile for any new engine. Drive these initial 1000km with love and care and in return it will also treat you good.

Drive it for at least 2000-2500 km on petrol. It would be good for the health of your new engine.

1000-1500 drive it on petrol and also dont over speed, dont cross more than 80 km/hr.

Well, It is highly recommended that you should run your car for 2000 km on petrol.

Well i think you dont have to wait for 1000Km as your car is having factory fitted cng.

thank you every one. I think i will wait till 2000 kms before using CNG. I intend to keep this car for a while so dont wanna mess up the engine.

i bought brand new LIANA 3 months ago....im telling u that there is no need to run ur car on petrol.....just go on CNG without any hesitation......ma liana has done 8500 km on CNG....no problems at all so i'll advice u to run ur car on CNG but if u wanna run ur car on petrol than nothing wrong in it....if v shud run first 2000km on CNG than the SUZUKI MOTORS shud tell us to run 2000km on petrol rather than CNG.....so i congratulate u on ur new ride and drive safe....A.H...
