Suzuki Liana Eminent Auto New Engine

Dear Follow Members,
I have Liana 2006 Eminent. The engine is developing problems like oil leaks. Once it was overheated and small bubbles come in radiator. My good and honest machinic advised me to change engine with Japanese one used. I need advise which engine to install. M13A is available in stock, M15A also available, M16A is hard to get by and No one has M18A is stock right now in Lahore Bilal ganj. Which engine is most efficient in fuel economy and what maximum fuel economy should I be getting after new engine. I am getting about 9-10 with AC right now.
Any experience with this also what price engine is available? I am being quoted with 35k with old engine given as adjustment for M13A, M16A is like 65k.

In my opinion you’re preferences should be m16 ya m18 , they’ll both give you round about the same average and you’re driving pleasure won’t be compromised too. With m13a i think it’s underpowered for liana , it’ll give you around 10 (my swift though is giving me 14 dot with ac heavy foot) and the m16 ya 18 will manage up to 14 kmpl. @dani_kk can guide you as i’ve read many threads and it seems he has knowledge and experience about these engines .

I think u have 1.6 litre engine.Repair old engine.Install new radiator,water body and thermostat.Oil leaks is easy to fix.Did u replace head gasket?

Never mess with the old engine thingy.
M series is a hassle when it comes to rebuild..
Assembly swap is reliable...
Getting a good 160+ compression assembly is a good investment for long-term...

M18a is the best option. Im myself a user of eminent.. Swapped a m18a long way back.
Running full m18a setup, I've even connected vvti & everything is of m18a. Its peace of mind.. Car performs well on hills, motorway & even local.

I think previous owner has installed the local gasket.
