I am using Liana 2007 Model, its been driven 220,000Kms till date. Its my daily commute of office.
It started missing, low fuel average around 6kms/Ltr. was running fine with a bit of struggle. The second gear lost power sometimes. So got it check everything was fine, the fuel pump, injectors, plugs, coils, throttle body, air filter etc.
so got the taped cover opened to check things inside so found out the tapped where jammed, so got the head opened after that so the position of the head was not of (I have attached pictures when it was opened) the sides walls were chipping and water was coming inside the chamber. so in all the head had to be repaired or replaced.
So the engine had served me well since 2007 and drove it 220,000 in karachi so decided to replace the entire assembly.
Which includes, complete head, timing cover, and taped cover. Checked it at different places like shershah, magazine line, ghani gowdown. So got a M13A in nick with Vtec condition from magazine line Japanese used.
Got it changed from my mechanic, changed 2 week foundations and everything else was fine so it was bolt to bolt fit on the same fitting. Disabled the Vtec as it needed to alter original wiring.
It was a perfect swap in all and its running fine now as it was bought new.
