Suzuki Liana hard clutch issue, please help

Recently bought Liana 2007 in a very decent condition, I live in main city with mostly city traffic driving, The issue I'm facing is that "Clutch peddle is very hard I have to press it hard towards the floor to change the gear" after driving 5-10 km in traffic my left legs starts to hurt due to that clutch pressing. I consulted a mechanic he's saying you need to change the pressure plates. Is it correct? My previous car was Cultus it has a wire clutch system, whenever clutch gets hard, I used to lubricate that wire and the issue went away. But Liana had a oil type clutch system, what can I do? Please help.

But also check the master cylinder and slave.

full clutch change solved the issue. original clutch had run more than 240,000 kms

the pressure plate is the one that has the spring. this gets hard after time..

the friction disc only affects clutch slip or grip

What part should I get checked? or should I replace the pressure plates?

since the gearbox is already coming off. and you are already paying for labor, best to combine jobs

do all these things in one go

1) buy brand ORIGINAL new, clutch disc, pressure plate, pilot bearing and throwout bearing
2) take off the flywheel, and have it faced on lathe. do NOT use it without facing.
3) replace engine crank Main Seal with Original item
4) do plenty of cleaning where you can reach.
5) replace any accessible seals on the gearbox as well.
