Suzuki long chassis information request

Actually i need a jeep for off roading and hunt . I have been offered a Suzuki long Chassis jeep Model 1985 . But i have to tailor it to my requirement . The jeep is not in running condition and i am quoted 250 k for papers and body . I am thinking to put a Suzuki Liana petrol engine in it with a soft top .The collective wisdom of this forum is requested to plz guide a Newbie . Regards

Zain first of all dont even go near to it. And thats a lot of money what they are actually asking for. Over here in Islamabad there are a lot places in tharnol area where army wranglers mercedese G and such jeeps and their bodies and body frames are for sale. Some needs minor work and u will easily get them for 250k. Secondly, never do this mistake of puting in a suzuki engine in it. Put a toyota 2c diesel engine in it if u cannot afford to buy a land cruiser engine.

thanks for reply . Could you plz tell me the the customization option for a wrangler .Means from where in Thernol area i can get a Wrngler body and where to build it . P

Brother tharnol has a lot of warehouses where you will get its bodies. I will even mark it for you on google maps from setallite view but do you think its worth it coming from sindh and fixing this car. The best u should do is, buy a jeep from tharnol. Taje it to sindh and build it there. These denters dont work untill and unless you are standing on their head every now and then. These jeeps are parked right to the left side of the main gt road just before sangjami toll plaza. Just inline with sector e16 and d17. If you are lucky enough u might get a G class body too.

brother i also think the same . I shall get it built at the place of my convenience . that long chassis deal is finalized fortunately or unfortunately . now i want to built it . plz suggest any petrol engine

Zain petrol Engine is not suitable for it. Put 2.0D engine in it or 2c

The M13 Comes stock in Jimny and it's a wonderful powerplant. Smooth and plenty of power. Get matching transfer case and differentials.

yes M13 is the best option if you can spent some extra money for your project and please try buy a complete set (Enginre, Gearbox, diffs) then this machine will be reliable companion for your trips.

I had owned a couple Suzuki long chassis and in the last one initially installed 3s-fe with hilux gearbox it was a powerful engine but fuel thirsty then i changed the engine to a G13BB with its original gearbox and diffs out of a 1999 Jimny wide. it performed superb in deserts and other terrain and excellent fuel economy.

and yes i have tried diesel in my previous vehicles but now i will not recommend you to opt for it as the body of suzuki is not capable to tolerate the vibration of a diesel engine and it starts generating alot of body noises.

Thanks for reply off roader 2323 . I am also thinking to install an engine that runs the jimny . The new model Jimnies have Suzuki Liana engines . I know it as i had a jimny few years ago and i was a member of an international jimny owner forum but that forum does not entertain this kind of conversion question . Those engines are said to be better then G13BB . plz guide whether or not the liana engine would be compatible with long chasis and which parts i should purchase along with engine

G13 anf M13 are both compatible with SJ 410 and have same mounts. You will be able to obtain a G13 for less money than M13.

thanks for co operation . Can i get it from Karachi or should have to go out of Sindh to get it . Plus should i get the gear box and differencials with it too

plus which shall be better amongst G13 and M13 . Since this is a long time investment , thus i wont see the ignore-able price difference

From what I have come to know, you can source these from Karachi in Shershah. I would advise for M13 as its the newer generation.
