Suzuki Mehran - Air Conditioning

Hi,

I have a Suzuki Mehran VX 2015 Model. As we all know VX does not have a pre-installed Air Conditioning... And even though Mehran's original. AC is (as compared to its previous versions) good in performance. I had its Denso AC installed from a trusted guy, but now it is not working anymore.
So I want an expert opinion of whether it would be good to install a pull out AC from any Japanese car i.e Suzuki Alto or any other for a better performance. Will it fit and work perfectly? Would you recommend? Where can I get one in good condition? If not, please suggest alternative. Which AC should I opt for and how much will it cost? Thank you.

Ac in mehran is not that good..i recently tested it with sanden unit...japanese one preinstalled in my mehran...

mostly alto or duet compressor is installed...or else other compressors are costly....if you are in isb, visit abu bakar G 8...universal autos

Mine is also a VX with aftermarket AC.
The compressor is of Duet while some equipment is OEM.
It works really good to be honest!

My compressor has just gotten fried. So either I need a new compressor, or change the whole AC. Somebody told me that I can install Pull Out AC from Japanese Alto. So I am asking what night be the best option? What is a duet compressor? How much will it cost?

Good to know. Can you tell me its advantages? I have denso AC installed. Car model is 2015 VX. Will it work perfectly?

Mehran which comes with factory fitted Denso unit has got best compressor. It does put load but can cool effectively with genuine multiflow condenser. Same is for old sanden units like SD-505 they are reliable even in sibbi heat. Which is dry and can easily reach to 50-52C in summers.

My suggestion to you is to use Duet car ac compressor
Plus if u are having heat-up problem, use a double naali radiator

Trust me, it works very well
i got this combination installed in mehran 2208 model 2 years back and it works very well.
One thing more, try to manually turn the ac off, while you are standing on signal. and after exiting from the signal, turn the ac back on when the car comes in running
Also dont use radiator coolents available locally in the market
Always use fresh water and check it daily before starting the car
Keep the side bottle of radiator only half filled and half empty

Boss if u r planning to ge for compressor which doesnt put load.... then go for terious or duet compressor. make sure the compressor is installed properly in terms of allignment and it contains the proper idle control.

if u put the original unit that is currently coming in new mehrans, it will put a load on the engine especially if ur car engine is not 100 percent or u r using CNG.

before installing compressor do some check and changes:

install the compressor in place of alternator and move alternator in place of compressor i mean vice versa.
use a multiflow condensor
if possible change the standar fan with a japenese fan on radiator
secondly ask the guy to install the chiller out side the engine room near front grill if it has space. lines extend kerni paregi but its worth it
put thumble on foam beneath the carpet.
close all the holes in the compartment transferring heat of engine into the room

I have a Mehran VX 2016, overall well maintained (30k driven). i installed an aftermarket Air conditioner 3-4 years back. As can be guessed, I have not been getting satisfactory performance by its AC. Please guide me what changes are needed in order to get good cooling, with a rough idea about their prices. Based in Lahore.

first of all dont expect mehrans ac like the ac of other cars like toyota , swift or honda.

at nights its cool but at day time when its hot, it just manages to make you feel better. Just make sure to do folloing:

check if the outer air intake is closed properly and not letting hot air inside the car.
check for the heater setting that it should be closed and not mixing hot air with cool air. it can be checked near the air blower.
check and make sure to close air coming from door rubbers....

otherwise, get it checked with the ac wala if it has proper gas filled or not.

at peak time, the ac of mehran cool air flow remains equivalent to 24-26 degree and at night it can goes to 12-14 degree.

Thanks a lot sir, I understand your points. The issue with my AC is that every year I have to get its gas filled up. After that it works good for 2-3 months and then the performance starts to decrease. I think there's a problem with the unit itself. So I'll just go and get it changed.
