guys its not about jdm or pkdm. I would never buy jdm as it hurts our economy but it hurts when you pay so much for mehran and in return what you get. Value for money is major point when it comes to mehran. jis k pass mehran hai he will obviously defend mehran as human psyche but you guys have to look at broader picture. I know mehran is famous because of cheap parts but at least we should also force suzuki to give more rather than buy whatever they give us. Now world is customer based and in Pakistan car companies are still working on selling based formula which is fault of consumer itself, as we buy without saying a word.

people buy mehran because there isnt alternative available as far as resale and spare are concern

it is similar quetion why people still buy honda cd70 and its hot cash - the resale part

before you buy a car i suggest you do a little macro survey about car , there values there spares there average /mileage

i own a vxr 2009 mehran, have no idea about cars not even how to drive when was about to buy.
then ask friends and relatives to what to buy in 4 lac

they said buy what you can afford to ride and run with

i do little survey and math for my possbility and only feiseable option came is mehran.

i myself not very in favor for the car, infact price wise i agree it shouldnt be what it is costing now

its pure waste of thought to buy a car then dont have money to run or maintain it.

bought in oct 2013 and discover its expenses are half the fare of taxi say if you wanna go to A from B

mehran is defined as 4 wheel , 4 door with a roof and 800 cc engine that can take you A to B

yes comfort part is not good but this is what is avail under this price.

I have only one issue with mehran. A guy buy mehran from his hard earned money and in return what he gets is rubbish. Suzuki literally dakaiti kar raha hai. look at the quality of vehicle and what they are charging. sab nay cartel bnaya hua hai and govt is with them. middle class ko sahi chuuna laga rahay hain sab. No one is paying attention on value they get from car. I am not saying k mehran owners are bewakoof etc.. ministry of industry has to take actions in interest of car buyers not manufacturer's.

Also road grip and safety this car is zero, its true it has good resale and cheap spare parts at least guys think about your and yout family safety on roads before buying it!

Hate the op or praise him what he said is right.
Now you may chose to defend your beloved car mehran whose bumper you can get new for 450rs and side mirror for 110 rs but fact will remain fact.
Its a piece of junk.
A half cut moulded meter reversed third class grade 1 condition jdm is still more comfortable more powerful and safe for family.
Coming to resale value whats the difference? You will lose 50k for using a car? Do you even consider depreciation for using a product? Things are supposed to lose their value after being used. You buy a jdm for 700k worst comes worst you will have to sell it for 650k or 630k!?
Now consider the fact you utilised the car too for that period of time so its justified to have some price drop. Don't get stuck in the gutter mentality of current dealers.
For God's sake for 50k resale value you are making your family sit in a piece of tin. Mehran is so much vulnerable. Drive is very uncomfortable specially long drives. No cumfort features.
There is a way to fight these local mafias. Stop Buying their cars and shift to JDM.
In my family my father owns a ivtec city my brother has a reborn i drive an idsi and my mother has a vitz.. (before you start occusing me of being a spoilt rich brat kindly consider this is not the case)
The drive i enjoy the most is of 1300cc vitz among these. Specially on long routes.
So please dont be arrogant fools and defend a pilenof junk because you own one.
Your two reasons to pick mehran
1) hot cash and good resale : a jdm won't give u a loss of more than 50-60k(low budget jdm not a prius lol).
So safety of family is worth 50k atleast.
2) spare parts : bhai ap gari chalanay k lye lai rahe ho ya repair karane k lye!? I understand accidents ho jate hain but sirf gari is lye lena ke takkar ho gai tau repair sasti hogi? Ye nai socha takkar ho gai tau jan chali jaye gi teen ke dabbay mai? Jaan ki worth maal se kum hai?

So end this fight. Think with a positive mind and get out of the gutter vision. Now you have every right to hate on me and bash me.
But deep down you know logically i am right. Thats my moral victory

I am in strong favor of JDM's- The problem is getting a trouble free car. JDM cars last long as well(Newer technology& better parts)
Also, PKDM- Brand new, Warranty, crap driving experience, cost cutting products being used.

I think we should have a tv program seriously, JDM lovers vs PKDM lovers. We have enough of politicians vs each other lmao.

Anyways, I hope a lot of people start using PW. Spread the message. Give cheating dealers and crap Car manufacturers a hard time.

If we argue on something both parties put forward sensible argument with good logics instead idhar bus haters and lovers ne hamla kar dena hai ke "teri aisi di taisi meri mehran nu jai kuch kaha te"

The best way to resolve this issue is to enlist pros and cons of pkdm and jdm and then counter compare them.

Things like power windows, GPS navigation, bluetooth, seat belts, air bags, power starring, rev counter, automatic transmission, heated seats, self canceling signals etc are now comes as standard on most modern cars... Whereas even so called 'premium' Mehrans lacks almost everything mentioned above.
Sadly, Necessity became a luxury for us... Thanks to Pak Suzuki... And ironicaly, most of us are cool with that!!!
No air bags, no problem, Mehran rocks! No seat belts, no problem, Mehran rocks! Sigh..
