My suzuki mehran 2007 with mileage 77,000 km is having kanghi problem
The problem occurred while driving when my car suddenly started to tilt leftwards. I thought it might be an alignment problem but after alignment was done there was a further increase in leftwards tilt. I brought the car back to the alignment guy to diagnose the problem and i was informed there is a problem with kanghi (don't know the technical term). I took the car to my mechanic and he was of the same view...
After the kanghi was opened it was found as per the mechanic that there was a play in ball bearing besides one of the teeth is bit worn out...
According to the mechanic teeth can't be repaired and in case it would be it would work for a very short run so better not to repair it and replacing the ball bearing would solve the problem. After that original bearing was replaced with Nachi bearing and kanghi was fitted again. I was informed that leftwards tilt was because of play in ball bearing and as ball bearing is replaced there won't be any issue..
But now sometimes car runs fine in straight line but then suddenly it starts to tilt leftwards again , it keeps tilting leftwards for some time then back to normal again. This behavior is repetitive.
I took the car back to mechanic , now he is saying that is because of worn out teeth , there is no point in repairing as it won't work. The best thing is to keep using it as it is without any replacement or repair and if you want to replace it then do it with kabuli one which will cost around 3000 rupees and will work for 3-4 years
Kindly help me out on this issue... is he right on saying it can't be repaired...whats the solution
Note that kanghi is genuine and its the first time kanghi is opened since i bought the car (applied for ).
