Suzuki mehran Oil change

I have a suzuki mehran almost 65,000 kms. Runs on cng.
The problem is that it has been only a 1,000 kms since I changed the engine oil with tuining. But it was around 6 months ago. Now, should I keep using this oil or get it replaced because I heard that engine oil life is only 3 months. But mine is just consumed a 1,000 kms. I use SGO (suzuki genuine oil).

Yes the life is 3 months if driven in extreme conditions or 6 months max if driven under normal conditions. SGO premium is a good oil. Be very careful when choosing sgo oils. There are 2 different variants, use the cheaper one i.e. sgo premium api sg 10w40. It works upto 3000 kms

good practice is to replace at 5k km or 6 months , whichever comes first.

use SGO premium

Use the ultimate one. The premium one is api sg and would harm ur engine

Show me the owners manual of any flat tappet engine which says to use api sm or sn oil.

Api Sm is for the vehicles made till 2010. New technology of oils by API is SN for latest vehicles . SGo Ultimate is API Sn . I have been using Sgo ultimate in my suzuki cultus my car is now 62k kms done and engine is nice and smooth. but I make sure to change oil thrice in one year as my running is only 2000 kms in 4 months.

Btw made in 2010 and designed in 2010 are two different things

bro there are many factors which can harm the engine not only because of oil. the parts need good lubrication thats it.

a mehran be it 1980s model or 2016, it needs an api sj or earlier spec oil
