boy I have installed & callibrated a big range speedometer & also an rpm meter..

& yes, I had to change the Silencer.....
Coz it sounded like lion roars....

Well I find mehran not so bad....

& now I am going for Alto 1000....

I think you are lucky, that the pistons or the valves did not burst out of that poor little 800 cc engine.

Most probably ur CALLIBRATED SPPEDOMETER is not showing actual and correct speed.
B'coz I dont think that mehran can cross 140Km/hr limit on petrol unless u r going downhill..and everyone here will agree with me.And i'll be glad and enlightened if u can show me some pics of ur mehran reaching 144KM/hr.

Put a servo in ur mehran.also put RPM meter.

Ok man, I will try again, & this time I will keep a camera with me...
But Man I have heard that once 2 boys did 200km/hr in perhaps EVO in Islamabad Highway, & they crashed while one of the boy was trying to take a picture of the speedometer....
It is very risky....
But I like risks....!

I my mehran is stock & I just put a new rpm meter & a new speedometre.
Nothing else at all!

Don’t know why but seems I reply went missing. Anyway here it is again:

No I don’t have doubts about Mehran.

What I wanted to say is this little thing is not build for driving at that high speed or doing stunts.

I think you have created a record in Mehran’s history driving at 144km/h (by the way you are sure that was not before are just after the Salt Range, the down hill section).

I think it was long before the Salt Range....
I mean, like 40 minutes drive before the Salt range or so...
BUT I don't actually remember the exact place.....
I just seemed as plain Straight road....

I have no doubt that mehran can run on 144/h cuz i have also a stock mehran 15 years old and it can easily run on 120 to 125 so why not a new one can run on that speed.

well If u guyz check carefully, the original mehran has a speedometre of 150km/hr...

So I have no confusion that My mehran didn't go 144km/h....
It is capable to at that speed thats why it has 150km.h speedometre....

i just got my 2007 mehran so i am in too
i love the a/c, its so cold that i have to turn it off time n time again .. cng button is great .. just have to pres it like in coure, it has seatbelts with pretensioners.
yes plastic n ruber is cheap but its 4 times cheaper than a civic .. y not 4 times less quality
