I have a now...3 ish year old swift DX manual.
I bought very soon after it was released in pak
Anyway, recently Ive had a odd experience with it. The accelereator pedal has a mind of its own.
sometimes when i give it the full 100% it gets stuck for a few seconds
Its easy enough to handle, not particularly dangerous for me ( clutch, neutral and turn off engine ) but the issue is that my mother also drives this car, and i dont want her to face this issue.
After it gets stuck at 100% for a few seconds and goes back to normal the accelerator becomes very lazy. If i push it down 50% for example and let go then the RPMs drop much slower then usual, to the degree like i feel that there is still some throttle being applied.
Then it goes back to normal for a few days. This has happened for about 5-8 times now, to the point where it no longer alarms me.
I looked at the accelerator petal up close, it does not look like anything is blocking it like the carpet etc, the only potential problem i see is the torsion spring has grease on it ( probably from the factory ) and dust on it.
Maybe wd-40 and new grease will solve the problem?
