Greetings to all. Suzuki Swift 2012, manual.
Few days back my AC fan belt broke after making noises.
Went to Federal Suzuki center in Abpara.
They said the bearing is jammed and that broke the belt.
So the pully needs replacement. The pully was not available with a price tag of 19000. Other option was change the bearing. I asked them to change bearing @ 6000. They said will take two hour to get it done from I 9 store or warehouse or whatever.
I said Ok and waited for 5 hour in the show room for the pully with installed bearing to arrive; but they kept on saying its just coming in 1/2 hour. Poor management. After 5 hour I left and they said will call when it arrives.
No call from there side. I called at six and they said it will come tomorrow morning.
Next day I went there and it was available,, the guy fixed the new belt and pully and all went fine. Charged 6000 for belt and 3000 for labor.
After one day AC start to work weirdly; compressor turning off after every 10 min for 10 mins.
Being not happy with delayed service of Abpara service center I went to I9 service center.
Went there at 12:30 and asked for AC issue. They contacted the AC electrician and he said he will check. So lunch break time started and at 2 pm, he checked the filter, cleaned it, cleaned the blower fan under dashboard as according to him it was making noise. He then said we need to take out Ac gas and check leakage. There AC gas extraction machine was not functioning properly and after one hour it was fixed. Took out the gas, vacuum built, they checked leakage with bumper removal, filled the gas in and now the Ac was not working. The guy said that AC clutch is damaged and need to replace the compressor which will cost 180000 at suzuki center. It was waste of time and they charged 10000 with nothing fixed.
After few days of asking compressor prices; my car over heated to H one day. checked the Radiator water it was half filled and I filled it with coolant. Also noticed that the fan was not turning on.
So now i wanted to take risk and again and went to Abpara service center, where the electrician immediately checked the fan fuse and it was fine. he found that the fan wire was detached from the clamp. He pushed it in and the fan was working fine. He said check Ac and it started working fine. Stayed there for 30 min and everything went well. I praised the guy and things were fixed. He saved me with a compressor change which was next option. They did not charged me.
So its so confusing whom to trust or who is competent even at service centres.
Also I thought the AC clutch is broken but every thing is fine now.
There are ver few competent people and they are hard to find. Need to be very careful.
